The goal of the Jalen Youth Su***de Prevention & Mental Health Awareness Day is simple: to preserve life.

We want to create safe spaces where our youth, families, and community know they can seek help, be heard, and be surrounded by people who are prepared to connect them with the support and resources that can help save a life.

You are somebody’s someone. Your life matters. 💚

A special mahalo to Pastor Mark Tamaleaa for allowing us to honor Jalen and carry his name and story forward through this event. We do not take that responsibility lightly. We are committed to continuing this work beyond one event—breaking the stigma, creating conversations, connecting people to help, and reminding our community that every life matters and we all have a part in helping preserve it.

Our Pasefika Cultural Event is more than just an evening of food and entertainment—it is an opportunity to share the beauty, traditions, and stories of some of our Pacific Island cultures. 🌊❤️

Preserving our culture is important. It keeps us connected to those who came before us, strengthens the identity of the generations coming after us, and gives us an opportunity to share who we are with others.

Our men joined the “You Matter” Men’s Retreat in Nāhiku, Maui! 🙏🏽💙

A huge mahalo to the Kahului, Maui church elders for hosting such an amazing and meaningful event for our men. Pastor Nemaia Faletogo for pouring and speaking life into our men.

What a powerful reminder that our men matter. As husbands, fathers, leaders, and pillars within our families, it is important that they have safe spaces where they can be vulnerable, process what they are carrying, open up, encourage one another, and build genuine connections with other men.

Most importantly, may they continue to build their foundation on God. When our men are spiritually strong, supported, and grounded in Christ, that strength flows into our families, our churches, and our communities.

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:13–14

May we continue to remind our men: You matter. Your presence matters. Your faith matters. Your leadership matters. 🙏🏽

When our men are strengthened, our families and communities are strengthened. 💙

Today, we were blessed to serve over 60 families from the Mountain View, Pāhoa, Pāhala, and Hilo districts. ❤️

Families were not only provided with food, but each household also received emergency preparedness kits, including Kōkua Binders mahalo Vibrant Hawaiʻi and disaster preparedness resources to help them be better prepared for future emergencies.

Some families shared their experiences from Lala, including being without power for 2–3 weeks. Hearing their stories reminded us just how important it is to continue bringing resources directly into our communities. Many expressed how grateful they were to receive these much-needed supplies. 🙏🏽

A huge mahalo to our community partners Vibrant Hawaiʻi Community First Hawaii The Food Basket, Inc. who continue to stand with us and make efforts like this possible. When organizations, churches, and community members come together, we can reach farther and serve more.
