Let’s prepare our hearts for Sunday!

Read Matthew 6:11–15 and reflect on Jesus’ teaching about daily bread, forgiveness, temptation, and dependence on God.

We’re also in Week 3 of our 21 Days of Prayer: Look Within, focusing on supplication and confession. Take some time this week to honestly bring your needs to God and confess what needs to be surrendered.

And don’t forget our Prayer Vigil this Wednesday, September 2nd, from 8:00–8:00. Set aside some time to pray with us!

We’re in the final week of our 21 Days of Prayer! 🙏

This week, we’re LOOKING WITHIN—drawing near to God, bringing our needs before Him, and coming honestly before Him in confession.

As we pray, consider joining us in fasting as well. You might skip a meal, take a break from social media or screens, or give up a small comfort and use that time to pray and seek the Lord.

And don’t forget: our 12-Hour Prayer Vigil is NEXT Wednesday, September 2nd! Stop by the Welcome Center to sign up for a 30-minute prayer slot as we seek to cover every hour in prayer.

Let’s finish these 21 days by seeking God with all our hearts.

GOOD MORNING, MCC FAMILY!

Thank you for joining us this Sunday as we continue our Summer with the Sermon series and journey together through 21 Days of Prayer!

Today, Lead Minister Cody Hunt brings us “The Prayer – Part 1: Your Name. Your Kingdom. Your Will.” from Matthew 6:9–10.

Jesus teaches us that prayer begins by recognizing who God is and surrendering our hearts to His purposes. Your Name. Your Kingdom. Your Will. These words remind us that prayer isn't about getting God to follow our plans—it's about drawing closer to Him and allowing His will to shape our lives.

As we continue these 21 days of prayer, let's come together with open hearts, ready to worship, listen, and seek God's direction for our church, our families, and our lives.

Whether you're worshipping with us in person or joining us online, we're so glad you're here!

Let's worship.
Let's pray.
Let's surrender to His will.

Welcome to church! Let's continue seeking Him together.

Let’s prepare our minds and hearts for Sunday by reading Matthew 6:9–10.

As we continue walking through Jesus’ teaching on prayer, take a few moments to sit with these words:

“Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done…”

And don’t forget: we’re also in Week 2 of our 21 Days of Prayer: Look Around—intentionally praying for the people and needs around us.

Let’s keep praying. 🙏

Worship Wednesday is BACK!!

What a beautiful Sunday morning of worship as we continued our Summer with the Sermon series, focusing on Matthew 6:5–8 and the powerful reminder of what it means to pray.

Prayer isn’t just something we “do”—‘prayer is an act of worship.’ When we step away from the noise, find that quiet place, and spend time alone with God, we are giving Him our attention, our hearts, our worries, and our praise. Prayer is where we slow down and remember that God already knows what we need, and He simply invites us to come close.

This Sunday challenged us to look beyond praying for others to also make space for those personal, intimate moments with our Father. Our alone time with God matters. Those quiet conversations, the prayers no one else hears, and the moments when we simply sit in His presence are beautiful acts of worship.

And a special THANK YOU to everyone for your patience and grace as we worked through some technology issues Sunday morning. Sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned, but what a blessing it was that we were still able to come together, worship, share our hearts, and keep our focus on God.

Technology may have had a few struggles, but our worship never stopped!

As we move through this week, let’s continue to make prayer a priority. Find your quiet place. Put away the distractions. Talk to God. Listen for His voice. And remember that even in the simplest moments, we are worshiping when we draw near to Him.

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father…” — Matthew 6:6

Happy Worship Wednesday!
Let’s keep praying. Let’s keep worshiping. Let’s keep drawing near to God.
