*What does the early 2000s have to do with Countryside’s sound system?*

More than we’d like.

As part of our 40th birthday celebration this morning, we announced a new project: it’s time to replace our aging sound system.

Much of the technology we rely on each Sunday comes from the same era as flip phones, iPods, and Windows XP. It has served us well, but after years of maintaining, replacing and purchasing used equipment, we’re ready to invest in what comes next.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 for a new sound system, acoustical treatment for the sanctuary, and supporting technology.

We’ll be sharing more about the project in the weeks ahead!

If you’d like to give, simply write “Sound System” on your check and place it in the giving box at the back of the sanctuary.

Fall Kickoff - This Sunday, 8/30! No Bible Study classes - join us at 10 am for worship service followed by a fellowship meal at 11:15 or 11:30. Jim is starting his new sermon series called "In Your Face: A Study in the Epistle of James." Youth Group for 6th-12th graders starts on Sunday also from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. See you there!
