Partnership is more than sharing a name on a flyer - it is showing up for one another.

This past week, VCM had the opportunity to serve alongside Ebenezer Baptist Church - Hendersonville, NC during Community Care Day, help Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church prepare meals their youth served to football players while sharing Bible verses, and spend time with Grace Church Gastonia during their Fall Festival.

Different places. Different people. One greater purpose: caring for others and making room for the Gospel to be seen and heard.

These are not just dates on a calendar for VCM. They are relationships built around shared faith, shared service, and a desire to see communities reached in meaningful ways.

We are thankful for EBC, CRBC, Grace Baptist Church, and all of our partner churches. Your faithfulness, prayers, and willingness to serve make a difference in more lives than we may ever fully see.

We have another busy week ahead, so stay tuned - we are looking forward to sharing what God continues to do through VCM.

Just a little recap of all God is doing.

The VCM catch-up continues and this stretch shows just how quickly ministry can move from one opportunity to the next!

On October 12, VCM made another trip to God's Warehouse. Then, on October 16, we partnered with Ebenezer Baptist Church - Hendersonville, NC for their Community Care Day. We then turned around and cooked and served lunch for the Volunteer Appreciation Lunch at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church.

From a trip to God’s Warehouse, to serving alongside another church, to preparing a meal for people who faithfully volunteer, each opportunity looked different, but every one of them was about showing up and serving where we were needed.

We are grateful for every church, organization, and volunteer who continues to work alongside VCM. There is still more to share, so keep following along as we get everyone caught up!

Okay, we’ve been quiet on Facebook long enough - it’s time to start getting everyone caught up! VCM may have been quiet online, but the past few weeks have been anything but quiet.

Let’s start with our first Volunteer Day. Even with the rainy weather, we accomplished so much! Supplies were moved and organized, storage areas were straightened, the kitchen trailer received a much-needed deep cleaning, and we made great progress getting the container ready for what is ahead.

We are always grateful for the people who give their time to serve. Whether you were lifting, cleaning, organizing, or simply jumping in wherever needed, you made a difference- and we appreciate every one of you!

Greg also had the opportunity to preach at City on a Hill. We are thankful for every open door to share the Gospel and build meaningful connections within our community.

There is plenty more to share, so we’ll be posting daily over the next several days to bring everyone up to date on all the VCM happenings. Stay tuned-this is only the beginning of the catch-up!

Monday kept VCM on the move!

A full load of hats, gloves, coats, and other clothing was picked up from Calvary Chapel of Asheville and delivered to Western Carolina Rescue Ministries. Then it was time to load up again - another full load was brought back home and will be distributed where it is needed.

One day, two full loads, and a lot of useful supplies continuing on to their next destination. We’re thankful for each opportunity to help keep things moving.

Last Thursday, Vital Connection Ministries was able to donate camping and outdoor supplies to the Catawba Chapter of Cross Trail Outfitters. These items will be used during upcoming camping outings and other ministry needs as they invest in young people and share the Gospel.

This opportunity with Cross Trail Outfitters Catawba River Basin came through a connection-one more reminder that God uses relationships to put resources in the right hands at the right time. That is what VCM is about: connecting people, supplies, and needs so they can make a difference.

We are so excited to be having our very first VCM Volunteer Day!

God has been doing so much through Vital Connection Ministries, and with every new opportunity comes more supplies to organize, more things to prepare, and more ways to stay ready to serve.

On Saturday, October 10 from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, we’re inviting you to come be part of what happens behind the scenes.

We’ll be working around the containers — organizing, labeling, moving supplies, straightening things up and getting everything where it needs to be.

This may look like a workday, but it’s part of something much bigger. Every box organized and every item put in place helps us be ready when a need comes.
