Midway Shiloh Temple

Midway Shiloh Temple Midway Shiloh Temple is a Bible-teaching Pentecostal Church, located in the beautiful hills of southern West Virginia. Jones was named pastor.

Midway Shiloh Temple was founded by a group of worshippers in McDowell County (WV) that was meeting in homes from Maitland and Eckman to Northfork and Maybeury, in the early 1930s. Under the leadership of founding pastor, Elder Paul Jones, the group decided to establish a church "midway" between the hometowns of their growing membership in 1935. In 1945, the pastorate changed when Elder Booker T.

Booker Jones pastored until his death in 1997. During his pastorate, he was named Bishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World's West Virginia & East Tennessee district in 1965. Bishop Jones moved the district headquarters from Gary to Keystone, where it remained until 1997. After Jones' passing, Suffragan Bishop Lester Turner became the pastor of Midway until the mid-2000s. Subsequently, District Elder Thomas Moore of Williamson (WV) served as Interim Pastor for four years. Moore recommended to the WV & East Tennessee Council that lifelong member, Elder John Hale become the pastor. Shortly thereafter, Elder John Hale was named pastor of Midway Shiloh Temple . . . a position that he holds to this day.

The meeting is April 16 - 18 at the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ in Whitman (WV), near Logan. It is hosted by District Elder Thomas Moore and the saints from Christ Temple in Williamson (WV).
