If you drove past the church last night, as Sarah did, you will have seen two things:
1- The sign out front was lit up! Thank you so much Ron for all your hard work.
2- Our campus is beautiful thanks to Miriam Hartt for cutting the grass and making sure it looks so nice every week.

Here’s some video from the watermelon eating contest at today’s picnic. It was almost as much fun to watch as it was to participate!

God could not have given us a more beautiful day for a church picnic!
We worshiped with lots of guests, grill master Ron prepared almost 100 hotdogs and some veggie burgers.
The corn hole tournament had so many teams that it took most of the day. We did take a break from the tournament long enough to have a watermelon eating contest, with Quinn Gibson winning 1st place.
What a wonderful day it was!

This is a bridge that only followers of Jesus’ teachings can build. It will not be an easy bridge to build because false Christians have dug a wide chasm to keep the people they’ve judged out, and because the people they’ve judged have built a wall on the other side to shield themselves from the hurt false Christians continue to assault them with. But it’s one of the most important bridges Jesus’ followers will ever build. In Jesus’ name, it must be built. With Jesus’ help we can build it.

When Christianity Starts Feeling Like Hate

There are people who have not abandoned God.

They have been wounded by people who claimed to speak for God.

When Christianity is repeatedly used to condemn, exclude, shame, and attack LGBTQ+ people, it can become almost impossible to hear the message of Jesus through the noise.

But Jesus is not the hatred someone else attached to His name.

You can walk away from toxic Christianity without walking away from Christ.

You can reject bigotry without rejecting your faith.

You can be LGBTQ+ and still belong completely to God.

And if someone’s Christianity requires them to hate you, perhaps it is their Christianity that needs to be questioned—not your worth.

God did not make a mistake when God made you.
