Kettering Night to Shine... Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience centered on God’s love for people with special needs ages 14 and older. Celebrated annually through church hosts around the world simultaneously on the Friday before Valentine’s Day each year, this event has established itself as an official invitation for people with special needs and their families to find a community of support through their local church and the volunteers who welcome them with open, loving arms. The next prom will be Friday, February 9, 2024!

Registration is now open for guests(225) and volunteers (450)... If you know of anyone that would like to attend or anyone that would like to help, have them register ASAP as spaces fill fast!

So excited for what God is doing at Kettering Assembly of God, and we get to be apart of it. The Best Is Yet To Come. Thank you Lord!

Today we welcomed Pastor Darren Gambrell as our Executive Pastor. He will continue to oversee and run The Transformation Center along with the responsibilities of his new role.

Pastor Darren worked in finance for twenty years before he began full-time ministry. He was licensed in 2010 and ordained in 2017 with the Assemblies of God. Pastor Darren held the position of Associate Pastor at Bethel Christian AG (Dayton, OH) from 2010 to 2013. He then joined the team at Toledo First AG (Toledo, OH) as Executive Pastor from 2013 to 2015 and in 2015, became their Lead Pastor. During his time in Toledo, he served as Assistant Northwest Ohio Presbyter from 2018 to 2020 and then Northwest Ohio Presbyter from 2020 to 2022.

In early 2022, Pastor Darren began to feel that transition was coming. The Lord laid on his heart to start a center that would help individuals be fully transformed and living their life to the fullest. He also felt that he and his family were to come home to the Greater Dayton Area to be closer to his aging parents and in-laws. In December 2022, Pastor Darren and Heather with their five kids at home; John, Quintin, Grace, Morgan, and Anna packed up and moved to Beavercreek Ohio, ten days before Christmas.

At the beginning of 2023, Pastor Darren, with the leadership of Kettering AG, saw Pastor Darren’s vision come to life with the soft launch of The Transformation Center here on the church campus. From the beginning, we have seen success and are looking to launch The Transformation Center publicly by the end of 2023.
