St. Mary Building Project Update: Site cleanup continues following the removal of the convent and rectory. In the coming days, excavation for the water holding pipe will begin, after which cleanup of the property will continue. As this work moves forward, we give thanks for the faith, service, and sense of community that continue to shape St. Mary’s. We look to the future with hope and remain deeply grateful for your continued prayers and support.

Venerable Pierre Toussaint (1766–1853) is the patron saint of barbers and hair stylists. Toussaint was a devout Catholic born in Haiti and brought to New York City as a slave. He died a free man, a renowned hairdresser, and a well-known Catholic in New York City. In 1996, he was declared Venerable by Pope John Paul II.
