My meditation today. Hope that edifies you too.
Being chosen by God generally signifies a unique purpose and divine calling, often involving serving Him and His will. This can manifest in various ways, including a strengthened faith, a sense of purpose, and being set apart for a specific ministry or role.
Romans 8:28:
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
His purpose equals God's purpose, equals NOT YOUR PLANS!
This verse is often cited in connection to this concept, stating that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
In essence, the statement suggests that God's plan is not something that can be avoided by those who are truly devoted to Him. It's a divine calling that they are destined to fulfill, even if it leads to difficult situations or experiences.
Being honest, great is the spiritual warfare against evil forces that want to see you dead, instead of fruitful for God's kingdom!
What the enemy really wants if you serve God, is that you change to his dark kingdom and serve him.
But GOD.....
Body, mind, and even the flesh feel this verse in warfare!
Psalm 124
1“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,”
Let Israel now say—
2“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,
When men rose up against us,
3 Then they would have swallowed us alive,
When their wrath was kindled against us;
4 Then the waters would have overwhelmed us,
The stream would have gone over our soul;
5 Then the swollen waters
Would have gone over our soul.”
6 Blessed be the Lord,
Who has not given us as prey to their teeth.
7 Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers;
The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
8 Our help is in the name of the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
I want to close reminding you and me of this:
“'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' declares the Lord. 'As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts,'” (Isaiah 55:8-9).
And this is to remind you how GREAT is the Lord of Lords, the GREAT I AM!
Psalm 21:11
This verse states, "Though they plot evil against you and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed." It highlights the futility of plotting against God and His people, as their schemes will ultimately fail.
Psalm 35:1
This verse declares, "Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me!" It is a plea to God to take up the cause of the wronged and defend those who are being attacked.
Matthew 18:6
This verse warns against causing harm to "one of these little ones," those who believe in Jesus. It states that "it was better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he was drowned in the depth of the sea." This emphasizes the severity of harming those who trust in God and the consequences for those who do.
Be edified tonight!
Love in Christ,
Cynthia
