🙏 Do you notice God’s everyday interruptions in your life?

🔔 Many things may need your attention, but only one Jesus deserves your devotion.

📖 “While they were traveling, he entered a village, and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who also sat at the Lord’s feet and was listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by her many tasks, and she came up and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to serve alone? So tell her to give me a hand.” , The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has made the right choice, and it will not be taken away from her.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭38‬-‭42‬ ‭

‼️ Good things can distract you.
Martha was distracted from spending time with Jesus by her many tasks.

‼️ Your distractions will divide you.
Martha got mad at her sister, Mary, for not upholding Martha’s own expectations to host others rather than give her attention to Jesus.

❤️ Devotion must be chosen.
Mary made the right decision to give full devotion to Jesus by setting aside the distractions of this world.

✅ Apply this to your life:
(Pick at least 1 to focus on this week!)👇

1. What good thing in your life has become bigger than God?
2. How can your serving become an act of worship instead of just completing a task?
3. Where could you serve in the mission of the Lord?
4. What area of your life needs to be more fully devoted to God?
5. What specific choice do you need to make this week to choose full devotion to Jesus rather than the distractions of this world?

Life doesn’t always go according to plan. We get surprised, overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated, and sometimes pushed to our breaking point. But while life may feel out of control to us, none of it catches God off guard. But what if the interruptions we encounter are actually invitations from God? What if instead of fighting for control, we learned to trust God in the middle of the unexpected?

In this series, Divine Interruptions, discover that what feels like an interruption may actually be a divine invitation to be used by God and to trust Him for the plans in our life and our loved ones.

Today, we’re going to learn how God uses His everyday interruptions to shepherd us on His path for our life.

🛑 STOP REHEARSING WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY FORGIVEN.

Some of us are stuck in a doom loop:

“I should have known better.”
“I wish I could go back.”
“If only I hadn’t...”

Meanwhile, God is trying to move you forward.

The woman at the well had a painful past, but one encounter with Jesus changed her future.

Your story doesn’t end with your mistakes.

Grace rewrites endings.

Leave the guilt.
Carry the lesson.
Follow Jesus.

🙏 If someone needs this reminder today, share it.

Going through a PAINFUL interruption? 😢

💔 💪 Your pain is not in vain when lived by His purpose.

🚨 GOD DOES NOT WANT YOU TO SEEK PAIN BY MAKING BAD DECISIONS. He wants you to live by His purposes so that the only type of pain you experience is pain that grows you as a human being and allows you to help others.

Wrong Responses to Pain:
❌ Loss of joy
❌ Loss of prayerful dependence
❌ Loss of hope for the future

God’s Purpose for Pain:
✅ To get our attention
✅ Total dependence on Him
✅ Full worship
✅ To comfort others
✅ Prepare us for the future

🔔 God’s purpose in your pain is for you to overcome the pain of your past, to remain faithful in your present pain, and to prepare you for His plan for your future.

🙏 Apply this to your life:
1. Remember that God is always in control.
2. Pray to God to see His purpose for your pain.
3. Surrender to God, even if you don’t understand.
4. Rest in His faithfulness.
5. Be ready to serve despite your weakness and be ready for God to show off!!

Some out of control moments in our lives are actually detours that bring divine miracles.

When Jesus traveled through Samaria in John 4, it made no logical sense.

People avoided that route.
It was uncomfortable.
Awkward.
Unexpected.

But Jesus wasn’t lost.
He was intentional.
He chose the unlikely path to bring a whole town renewed life and hope.

Sometimes God changes your plans because He sees something you don’t.

The closed door.
The delayed opportunity.
The relationship that ended.
The unexpected reroute.

You call it disruption.
God calls it direction.

Just because you don’t understand the detour doesn’t mean God isn’t leading you.

Trust the One who sees the full picture.

The detour may feel confusing now, but God never leads without purpose.

Sometimes God will interrupt your plans to protect your purpose.

Think about that…

💔 Some parents are carrying heartbreak today.

A wandering child.
A rebellious season.
A prodigal son or daughter.

And maybe you feel like you failed.

But hear this:

Your child may run from God…
but they cannot outrun God.

Keep praying.
Keep loving.
Keep trusting.
Keep leaving the door open.

God is still pursuing people long after parents lose hope.

Never underestimate the power of persistent prayer because prodigal stories are never too far gone for God. 🙏
