Kennett Public Schools start back tomorrow. Watch for children (and teens and adults) and stop for buses letting riders on and off.

🎒🚌 BACK TO SCHOOL SAFETY REMINDER FROM DUNKLIN COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES! 🚸📚

School is back, which means more buses, children walking and biking, and extra traffic on our roads. Let’s all do our part to make sure our kids get to school and back home safely! ❤️

🚌 BUS SAFETY
• Stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.
• Never pass a stopped school bus.
• Watch carefully for children getting on or off the bus.
• Give buses plenty of room and be patient—those few extra seconds could save a life.

🚸 PEDESTRIAN SAFETY
• Slow down and watch carefully in school zones and neighborhoods.
• Always look both ways before crossing the street.
• Use sidewalks and designated crosswalks whenever possible.
• Put phones down and stay alert while walking or biking.
• Remember: children may not always see or understand the dangers around moving vehicles.
