Love is meant to be expressed.

That’s why fellowship matters. Following Jesus was never meant to be something we do alone. We’re called to share life together—to worship, pray, grow, care for one another, and pursue Jesus together.

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” — Acts 2:42

There’s something powerful about a church that doesn’t just gather, but genuinely shares life together.

We’re family with a purpose. We’re Better Together.

The harvest isn’t somewhere far away. There are people all around us who need Jesus—and He has chosen to send His people.

That means what God has given us matters. Our homes can become places of discipleship. Our tables can make room for someone new. Our lives can be poured out in service. And every one of us can take what Jesus has given us and give it to somebody else.

That’s the kind of fellowship we see in Acts 2. People opened their lives to one another, disciples were made, and the Lord continued adding people to His family.

This fall, we’re believing for that same kind of fruit at Encounter. As we connect in groups, open our lives, and intentionally reach the people around us, we’re asking the Holy Spirit to give us the compassion and courage to say:
Here I am, Lord. Send me.

The first church gives us a picture of what following Jesus together can look like.

They were devoted to Scripture, prayer, and fellowship. They gathered to worship, but they also opened their homes and their lives to one another. They shared meals, met needs, prayed together, and grew together.
That kind of fellowship is more than being around other Christians. It’s sharing life with people who are going somewhere with you—following Jesus and helping others follow Him too.

And as the first church lived this way, the Lord added new people to their fellowship.

We need that same kind of life together. Not just a crowd we worship alongside, but people we can know, serve, encourage, pray with, and grow alongside as disciples of Jesus.

Don’t go through this season trying to follow Jesus by yourself. Find your people, connect with a group, and commit to growing together.

We really are better together.

The Great Commission didn’t begin in Matthew 28.

From the moment Jesus called His first disciples, He was showing them what He would eventually send them to do: follow Him, become like Him, and help others do the same.

And that takes us all the way back to creation.

God’s purpose has always been to fill the earth with His image. Through Jesus, that purpose has been redeemed and restored—and now we get to participate in it through disciple-making.

We don’t make people into our image. We point them to Jesus so that, as they follow Him, they become more like Him.

Jesus started the work. He gave us His Spirit. And now He sends us to continue it.

And the good news is, you don’t have to do it alone. We were made to follow Jesus, grow, and live on mission together.

Come be with us tomorrow. Because we really are better together. 🤍

The good news of the new covenant is that it begins with what God has done for us—not what we can do for Him.

Jesus took our place. He did what we could never do for ourselves. And because of His sacrifice, we have been restored to God.

But His grace doesn’t leave us where it found us.

God gives us His Spirit, changes our hearts, leads us into truth, and gives us power to live as witnesses of Jesus.

Following Jesus was never supposed to be an exhausting attempt to change yourself from the outside in. The Holy Spirit is at work from the inside out.

So stop trying to do in your own strength what only the Spirit of God can do in you.
Ask Him to lead you. Ask Him to change you. Ask Him to empower you.

The Kingdom of God isn’t simply something we’re waiting to experience one day.

The King has come. Jesus is risen. He is reigning now.

And His Kingdom is still advancing as the gospel reaches new lives and disciples of Jesus make more disciples.

That means we don’t just receive the good news of the Kingdom and keep it to ourselves. We have a part to play in seeing the earth filled with the image and glory of God.

So ask yourself: Is my life turning the world right side up?

Receive the Kingdom. And then go spread the Kingdom.

If God has already given Himself fully to us, then maybe the question isn’t, “How can I get more of God?”
Maybe it’s, “How much more of me can I give to Him?”

We can spend our lives praying, “Lord, I want more of You”—and that’s a good prayer. But what if “more of You” becomes deeper surrender to the God who has already given us everything?

More fully immersed in His grace.
More fully rooted in His love.
More fully walking in fellowship with His Spirit.

“You can have all you want if you give Him all you got.”
That’s the invitation of discipleship: a life more and more fully immersed in Him.

And it doesn’t stop with us.

Jesus has commissioned us to help others experience this too—to bring people into His grace, the love of the Father, and fellowship with His Spirit.

So ask Him today: Am I giving You all of me—and who are You calling me to help experience this life in You?
