Please help us welcome Caleb Heckendorf who will be serving at Christ Alone as vicar this coming year! Originally from Appleton and later Reno, he attended Martin Luther College after studying at Luther Preparatory School. Caleb and his wife, Claire, were married in June 2025 and are excited to welcome their first daughter later this summer. The Heckendorfs are thankful for the opportunity to become part of the Christ Alone family and look forward to growing, serving, and sharing God’s Word alongside the Keller community!

“Trust is built quickly when people grapple, struggle, and improve side by side.”

What began on the mats at Renzo Gracie DFW in Hurst, Texashas become something much bigger than martial arts training. Through friendships built on humility, perseverance, and trust, meaningful conversations about faith began to grow—eventually leading students to worship alongside one another at Christ Alone in Keller, Texas.

The relationships formed through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu have become more than training partnerships. They’ve created space for authentic conversations, lasting community, and opportunities to connect people with the hope found in Christ.
