At Discovery Church our mission is to discover God, follow Jesus, and love others! At Discovery, our aim is to discover God, follow Jesus, and love others.

Discovery Church is a place where ordinary people come to celebrate, discuss, and learn about Jesus. Ever wonder what God was all about? Or who this Jesus guy really was? Come see what we have to say about it all, Sundays at 11. Wear what ever you want, bring who ever you want, come with what ever idea's you want, anyway you are we'd love to have you. Curious about God? Come and see. "A l***r came to Jesus, begging Him and falling on his knees before Him, saying, "If You are willing, You can make me clean." Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand, touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed."" -Mark 1:40-41

SUNDAY WORSHIP 10.25.2026

10/21/2026

From yesterday's Bible-study:

Not everything that seems wise is true. In John 11, the high priest Caiaphas while advocating for the killing of Jesus says "It is better than one man die, than for the whole nation to perish." Without careful consideration, one might've be convinced that this was true. Someone hearing it might say "sounds good to me" and cast their vote with Caiaphas to kill Jesus, thinking it's wise and just to do so.

In the internet age, there are many voices that speak confidently, and eloquently, and we are quick to be persuaded by half-baked logic if we're not careful. As Christian's we are called to be discerning, prudent, and thoughtful. Believing the first smart sounding thing we hear could produce serious harm. Let us be diligent and not hasty in our pursuit of knowledge for "The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty." (Proverbs 21:5)
