This Sunday | September 6

Pastor Steve Willette will bring a message titled “Pandemic in the Pews: Finding God’s Cure for Loneliness.” Through the story of the Prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 19, we’ll discover how God meets us in seasons of loneliness, discouragement, and isolation.

Elijah cried out, “And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away” (1 Kings 19:14b). His words remind us that even those who faithfully serve God can experience moments when they feel completely alone.

Join us this Sunday as we learn from Elijah’s experience and discover how God provides the encouragement, presence, and connection we need when loneliness sets in.

Seven Baptisms!

We had an incredible celebration on Sunday, August 30th, as 7 people were baptized in the Willamette River! Praise God for each of their testimonies and for the faithfulness of God at work in their lives.

What a joy to witness these seven individuals publicly proclaim their faith in Jesus and their commitment to follow Him! Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation—a visible testimony of the new life we have through Christ.

We celebrate with each of you and give all the glory to God! What a beautiful picture of lives changed by Jesus!

Tomorrow, Saturday, August 29th, FBCJC has been invited to help clean up the school grounds. Even if you didn't sign up, you can still show up! Meet at Laurel Elementary School at 8:00 am and help prep the school for the kids to return next week.

For K–12 students enrolled in Junction City & Harrisburg schools
Students can receive school supplies, shoes, socks, backpacks, and more! There will also be games and activities for students to enjoy.

Please note: There will be no Children’s Church or Middle School class this Sunday, as we encourage families to worship together. Nursery care will still be available.
