We are starting VBS this Wednesday night. To you, it may just mean a place for your kids to go so you can have some time to yourself. But for us, it is so much more than that!

These pictures tell a story. A story about the next generation. A story that shows not all kids are running the streets. Some are serious about their relationship with God.

Two cousins. Best friends. One pursuit.

While many kids were thinking about games, screens, or what came next, these two cousins were found at the altar on a Sunday morning—seeking the presence of God. They may not understand it all just yet, but inside they understand there is more!! They want more!!

It is so powerful seeing the next generation hunger for more than what the world has to offer. Side by side, best friends and family, they weren’t focused on each other—they were focused on Jesus.

Moments like these remind us that revival doesn’t have an age requirement. God is moving in the hearts of our children, and when young people learn to seek Him early, it can shape the course of their entire lives.
“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth…” — Ecclesiastes 12:1

May they always remain close as cousins, faithful as friends, and passionate followers of Christ. What a beautiful picture of young hearts learning that the greatest friendship they can ever have is with Jesus.

We have such a wonderful staff of leaders at The Chapel. Today, our Lead Pastors treated the staff to a day of fellowship and fun at PD and Pastor Sabra’s house. All of the staff’s children were able to swim, even though it rained, and a little football was played in between showers. We could never do enough to thank our staff for all the hard work they do to make our church such a great place to worship and attend. We appreciate each and every one of you.

Today, as we pause to remember, those who gave their lives so that we can live in freedom, we say a prayer for the families who have an empty seat at their table today. For the children who have a void in their lives because there is no daddy in their home and for the wife who cries herself to sleep each night longing for a simple kiss from her fallen soldier. We are grateful for your sacrifice and we honor you.

What a powerful word from Pastor Lee this morning. Here are the points from the message and a few notes that were highlighted.

Between Promise and Power

1. God often develops power in private before he displays it in Public.
2 The fire didn’t fall on the building it fell on the people
3. What left you empty is about to be the place that God fills
4. Pentecost was not a moment to admire it was a fire to carry

The purpose of Pentecost was never to be contained it was to commission.

He came to empower witnesses.

We are so comfortable with experiences while ignoring transformation.

Pentecost changes how you walk, how you talk, and how you forgive.

Pentecost gives you boldness and confidence.
