Who We Are
We are a small, vibrant family-style church centered in the heart of north Jonesboro, Arkansas. Located just north of downtown and away from much of the busier parts of the city, our simple church building is surrounded by magnolia trees and green grass. We are a diverse mix of folks ranging from college professors to artists to retired school teachers. We are led by our dear pastor Rev. Emil Williams who has served as a prophetic preacher, pastor, and pillar of the Jonesboro community for nearly 60 years.
Last year, Rev. Jenna Sullivan, a graduate of Wake Forest University Divinity School and native of Little Rock, joined us as our associate pastor. She enjoys learning the ropes of ministry under the guidance of Emil and together they bring a unique perspective on life, faith, church, and most importantly, what it means to follow Jesus.
We gather on Wednesday evenings at 5:45 p.m. for fellowship supper. You’ll find us sitting around round tables enjoying a tasty, home-cooked meal. We also gather on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for Sunday School and at 10:40 a.m. for worship. Our style of worship is a mix between beautifully prepared traditional music and informal, joyful singing of old hymns. Emil brings a weekly message of hope that will encourage you and challenge you to grow in your faith. His experience and passion for preaching is very powerful. We always have a time for prayer as a church.
