It’s easy to cruise through real life on autopilot, letting our immediate desires take the driver’s seat. But trading a Spirit-filled connection with God for the control of the flesh doesn't just drain our joy—it cuts us off from the source of life itself.

God provides for the birds, but He doesn't drop the food directly into their beaks.

Think about that for a second. We all deal with worry and anxiety—especially when it comes to our daily schedules, careers, or managing the stresses of family life. It is incredibly easy to get trapped in a loop of endless overthinking. But in Matthew, Jesus points us directly to the wildflowers and the birds to show us a better way to live.

The birds still wake up and search the ground every morning, but they don't operate out of panic or fear. They do their part, and they trust their Creator for the rest. If God goes out of His way to beautifully decorate the grass of the field, you can rest easy knowing He is big enough to take care of your tomorrow, too.
