Gratitude becomes real when you stop tying it to outcomes and start anchoring it in God’s character. Psalm 107 doesn’t deny struggle—it highlights it. People got lost, locked up, sick, and overwhelmed. But every time they cried out, God responded—not because they deserved it, but because His mercy endures forever.
That means your current situation doesn’t get the final say—God’s goodness does. You may not be out of it yet, but you’re not without Him in it.
