“Psalm 103:1–2 NKJV
“Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits.”
There are times when life becomes so demanding that we focus more on what we need than on what God has already provided. We can become so concerned about the next blessing that we forget the blessings we are already standing in.
David says, “Forget not all His benefits.” In other words, take inventory of the goodness of God.
Remember His faithfulness.
Remember His protection.
Remember His provision.
Remember His forgiveness.
Remember the doors He opened.
Remember the times He brought you through when you didn't know how you were going to make it.
The enemy wants us to focus on what is missing, but praise helps us remember what God has already done.
Today, don't let your current situation erase your history with God. If He has been faithful before, you have a reason to bless Him now.
You may not have everything you want, but you have plenty of reasons to praise God for what He has already done.
