Join us in praying for the respose of those who lost their lives on 9/11, in thanksgiving for those heroes who intervened and in petition for an end to terrorism throughout the world.

May the Lord comfort all who continue to grieve, strengthen those who work for peace and help us build a world rooted in peace.

How are we loving those around us? Are we loving them by their virtues and graces or are we stuck on the physical layer of our relationships?

In his book “The Power of Love”, Archbishop Sheen talks about the power of transcendental love that bridges the spiritual and physical. Soon-to-be Blessed Fulton Sheen, help us to love that which is eternal. 🙏❤️

Today’s Gospel reminds us that Christian community is not built by facing conflict with humility and love.

Even difficult conversations can become places of grace when Christ is at the center.

As a parish family, may we be people who choose reconciliation over division, prayer over gossip and charity over judgment.

Today, we celebrate the feast of St. Teresa of Calcutta, whose life reminds us that holiness is often found in small acts of love offered with great faithfulness.

Mother Teresa saw Christ in the poor, the sick, the lonely and the forgotten, and she invites us to do the same.

St. Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that we shouldn't fit him into the lives we already have. He comes to make us new.

That can mean allowing the Lord to stretch us, change our habits, challenge our assumptions and make room in our hearts for something deeper.

Where is Christ inviting you to become new?

Do you struggle with loving “everything” as Archbishop Fulton Sheen puts it? The soon-to-be Blessed spoke and wrote extensively on the power of love in our everyday lives and our relationship with God.

Pope Leo XIV’s prayer intention for September is for the care of water.

May God help us to be grateful for the gifts of creation, responsible in how we use them and attentive to the needs of our brothers and sisters around the world.

The Church traditionally dedicates the month of September to Our Lady of Sorrows.

As a parish family, may we spend this month close to Mary, who knows what it means to love faithfully through suffering. Let us bring her our own sorrows and the needs of those we love, asking her to lead us ever closer to her Son.

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
