TOO FAR IS TOO FAR
John 6:44 — “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him…”
The ultimate warning of this passage is not about a particular curse word, a specific failure, or a certain category of sin. The greatest danger is continually rejecting the drawing of God toward salvation through Jesus Christ.
In Mark’s Gospel, chapter 3:28, 29, the Bible teaches that there is one unforgivable condition: the rejection of Christ and His salvation. If a person continues to reject the work of the Holy Spirit and the free offer of salvation, all other sins become secondary because the remedy for those sins is being refused.
Jesus taught that no man comes unless the Father draws him. That truth reminds us that opportunities to respond to God should never be taken lightly. No one is promised another opportunity, another invitation, or another day.
The danger of crossing the line is ultimately found in persistent unbelief. The answer is not found in trying harder, but in responding to Christ while He is drawing you.
