Dear Live Oak Family,

As you may have heard, Pastor Denton has resigned from his role effective immediately. We are grateful for the ways he served our church over the past six months, and we pray for God’s grace and guidance for him and his family in the days ahead.

I know that the past few months have been difficult. We find ourselves again in a transition period, and many of us are feeling a mix of emotions right now. Still, we trust that God is faithful and has His hand on Live Oak Church.

We invite you to come and worship Him. We will gather Sunday at 10 as normal for a day of prayer and praise. After the service, we will hold a family meeting. This will give us space to answer initial questions, process together, and begin thinking about our next steps.

As a side note, thank you for your love and encouragement to me while I’ve been on sabbatical. I am excited to be back and can’t wait to see everyone. As we move forward, I want to encourage you to pray for unity, wisdom, and provision. I also want to remind you of Paul’s words, “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” (Colossians 4:6 ESV)
