Daily Bible Reading Challenge – Monday, May 25

As we observe Memorial Day, we remember with gratitude those who gave their lives in service to our nation and the families who carry their memory. We pray for peace, for those who mourn, and for all who continue to serve our communities and country.

Today's readings remind us of God's care for creation, His promise of restoration, and the hope we have in Christ.

Psalm 104 invites us to marvel at God's wisdom and the beauty of creation. Through the prophet Joel, God promises renewal and the outpouring of His Spirit. In Romans 8, Paul reminds us that even in times of suffering and uncertainty, we live with hope, trusting that God is at work bringing about redemption and new life.

As you read today, consider this question:

How does God's promise of restoration and new life give you hope in the midst of life's challenges?

Today's Readings:
• Psalm 104:24-34, 35b
• Joel 2:18-29
• Romans 8:18-24

Lord, renew our hope, strengthen our faith, and help us trust in your promises. Guide us to live each day in the confidence of your love and grace. Amen.

Daily Bible Reading Challenge – Saturday, May 23

Today’s readings invite us to reflect on what it means to belong to God and to live as God’s people in the world.

In Exodus 20, God gives the Ten Commandments, not as a burden, but as guidance for a people who have been set free. In Matthew 5, Jesus begins the Sermon on the Mount with the Beatitudes, describing the blessings that belong to those who trust in God, seek righteousness, show mercy, and work for peace. Psalm 33 reminds us that our hope is not found in human strength or power, but in the steadfast love of the Lord.

As you read today, consider this question:

What does a faithful life look like in your daily relationships, choices, and priorities?

Take a few minutes to read, reflect, and pray.

Today’s Readings
• Psalm 33:12-22
• Exodus 20:1-21
• Matthew 5:1-12

Lord, help us to trust in your steadfast love, walk in your ways, and live as people who reflect your grace and mercy to others. Guide our thoughts, words, and actions this day, that we may be a blessing to those around us. Amen.

So much joy at Faith this morning as Pastor led us in “I’m So Glad Jesus Lifted Me” and we celebrated the One who opens our eyes and fills us with his light. Grateful for our kids, their questions, and the laughter and life they bring to worship every week.

Don’t forget, tonight starts Daylight savings time.

Good morning, Faith Lutheran family! ❄️

Worship Canceled Today – Sunday, January 25

Due to the potential for freezing bridges and slippery road conditions across the area, and since Pastor Thulie would need to travel in from Summerville and cross multiple bridges, we are canceling worship for this morning.

Please prioritize safety and use extra caution if you must be out on the roads. We’ll look forward to gathering together again next Sunday, weather permitting.

Stay warm and safe! 🙏
