Over my forty years in ministry, I’ve learned there’s another kind of account we can overdraw, one that has nothing to do with money. I call it the relationship account.

A testimony from one of our couples who attended our recent retreat in Branson:What an amazing experience!

My wife, Kellie, and I attended the Stillwaters retreat in Branson. What a great time of renewal. The workbook and the sharing of our stories reminded us that we are not alone. We shared laughs and tears together with strangers who quickly became friends. The prayers were powerful. The setting was beautiful. The sharing was needed. The overall experience was life-altering.

There was a great balance of activities and meeting times. We ate amazing meals both out on the town as well as at the beautiful home we stayed at. Jim and Carla have a great ministry, and they understand the bruises that we as pastors experience. They acted as Jesus; they did not break the bruised reed, but sought to bring healing. The other pastors and their wives also brought great encouragement.

This was the perfect combination of retreat/vacation. Fun shows, great dinners, and amazing times of prayer.
I am so thankful and grateful for the week we were able to spend. I would recommend this retreat to any minister, pastor, or missionary.

Thank you Jim, Carla, and the Stillwaters board for this much-needed ministry.

This is a testimony from our most recent retreat: "My wife, Del and I, attended the Still Waters Retreat in Branson, MO on Sept. 2025. We have been in ministry for over 40 years and is the first time we have attended a retreat that was so beneficial to us. The timing was perfect because the week before, my leadership was questioned by someone who is dear to me and made me feel broken and hurt. The study guide was God-sent and brought healing to our lives. The fellowship with other pastors and hearing their stories created a true and lasting friendship. All of our stories came together as one edifying message. These men have become important in my life due to the time spent together! We have never experienced such hospitality with the accommodations, the outstanding shows and delicious meals as we did. It was an overwhelming investment for the pastors who attended, and for that, we are eternally grateful to the shepherd, Jim Daniel, who led us to those still waters. May God continue to bless this ministry."

We will be forever grateful for "Still waters renewal". It was a God send and we did not even realize it as we made plans to attend. Those in attendance with us were in ministry as well; there was a common understanding of pain, frustration and hurts from serving in similar capacities. The stories were encouraging. My wife and I were reminded that others are going through similar trials. Our experience with "still waters renewal" was far more than a vacation. Prayerful & thoughtful group interaction facilitated an atmosphere allowing us to unplug as never before. We made new friends and came away encouraged, renewed and restored. I highly encourage those who are in ministry to consider attending one of these renewal retreats.

And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh. Jonah 4:11. May God give us His concern for those who do not vote the way we vote. We all stand in need of God's grace and forgiveness. Let's not be like Jonah who hated the very people he was sent to proclaim God's message.

I have wondered how Germany could allow such evil leadership who committed the worst acts of murdering over 6 million Jews? I see the Democratic Party promote reproductive freedom which in reality promotes the killing of innocent unborn children. How could anyone who calls themselves a Christian vote for such an evil agenda? The Republicans are not much better this year with their lack of conviction to protect the unborn. The Republicans view is disturbing while the Democrats view is demonic. One day people may look back and ask, "how could Christians allow such evil to take place in America?" We are not in a good place as a country. God have mercy on us.
