Cooling Assistance is now available for eligible low-income households in LaSalle Parish!

The LaSalle Parish Community Development Center is accepting applications for assistance with utility payments during the cooling period from September 1–30, 2026.

Applications are handled by telephone appointment on a first call-in, first-served basis.

Crisis applications will be taken Monday–Friday from 2 PM–4 PM.

Upward Soccer practice starts today, Monday, August 31st and tomorrow, Tuesday September 1st, for all our teams with the first games kicking off on Saturday, September 12th. We are excited for a great season of learning about Jesus, sportsmanship, and improving our soccer skills.

Parents: If you have registered and not heard from your coach, please contact us so we can ensure we have your right cell number. Please also note that personal waters and shin guards with socks covering are required for all practices and games.

Churches: We would love to have every church involved in sponsorship in some way, whether in leading one of our Saturday devotions, helping as referees, in field maintenance, or especially in our snack shack, which you can use to support your youth groups and missions' teams. LAST DAY OF SOCCER EVALUATIONS is this Thursday, August 13th 5:30-7pm. If you cannot attend evaluations, please message our page and we can be sure to place your child on a team. Be sure to pre-register and pay online. We are excited for all our new and returning students and looking forward to a new year of team building, improving our soccer skills, and learning about Christ.

Soccer Evaluations are canceled today due to weather. Join us Tuesday or Thursday 5:30-7pm at the Old Jena Elementary Soccer fields, so your child can be evaluated and placed on a team.

SOCCER EVALUATIONS ARE THIS MONDAY 5-7pm. Be sure to register by this weekend and stop by the soccer field on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday night 5-7pm. Students will do a few drills to determine their skill level and place them on a team.
