Just sharing a snapshot of our next few weeks in Childrens Church!
MEMORY VERSE:
“O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Psalm 34:8 (KJV)
LESSON 29: BOTTOM LINE: It’s never wrong to do right!
OBJECTIVE: Kids will learn “Kindness means turning enemies into friends.”
KEY PASSAGE: Luke 10:25-37, The Parable of the Good Samaritan – Kindness in unexpected places.
SUMMARY: It was a known fact that Samaritans and Jews didn’t like each other and didn’t want anything to do with each other. Yet, when a Jewish man was robbed, beaten, and left for dead, a Samaritan was the only person who stopped to take care of him. When a religious leader and person of authority turned their backs on him, his enemy became his friend.
LESSON 30: BOTTOM LINE: Kindness is an everyday action.
OBJECTIVE: Kids will learn “Kindness is always the right thing.”
KEY PASSAGE: Matthew 12:9-14, Jesus Heals on the Sabbath- The Pharisees were upset.
SUMMARY: Jesus showed kindness when He healed a man in the synagogue on the Sabbath. The Pharisees asked Him if it was lawful for healing to be done on the Sabbath. When Jesus answered yes, they held a meeting to discuss killing Him.
LESSON 31: BOTTOM LINE: Jesus will help us find goodness in all things.
OBJECTIVE: Kids will learn “Jesus was good in everything He said and did.”
KEY PASSAGE:Luke 5:17-26, Jesus Heals a Paralyzed Man – The faith of his friends saved him.
SUMMARY:When a paralyzed man was brought to Jesus, He didn’t just wish the man “good luck”and send him on his way. Jesus extended His goodness, offering the man first forgiveness and then healing. Goodness flowed out of Jesus in everything he said and everything He did.
