✨A New Chapter at Grace Episcopal Church✨

On Saturday August 15th 2026, Grace Episcopal Church in Jamaica proudly welcomes its 22nd Rector, the Reverend Dr. Rudolph Augusto Anthony Jr.

After more than three centuries of faith, worship, service, and community, Grace Episcopal Church, one of Jamaica, Queens’ most historic houses of worship with a 324-year legacy, begins a new chapter with the installation of Father Anthony as its 22nd Rector.

Father Anthony is no stranger to the Grace Church community. For the past three years, he faithfully served as Priest-in-Charge, guiding the congregation with dedication, compassion, and a commitment to the mission and ministry of the church. His calling as rector now marks a significant and joyful moment in the life of Grace Episcopal Church.

We are delighted to officially welcome Father Anthony, his wife, Erleen, and their three children, Sean, Pauline, and Sharif, into the Grace Church family.

As Father Anthony begins this new chapter of leadership, we look forward to continuing the work of building upon Grace Church’s rich history while embracing the future with faith, hope, and purpose.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Rev. Father Godson Egbujor, formerly of St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church in Brooklyn, for graciously stepping in to celebrate and lead worship with us this past Sunday.

Due to the inclement weather, The Rev. Dr. Rudolph Anthony was unexpectedly detained and unable to be with us. Father Godson answered the call without hesitation, and we are deeply thankful for his willingness to serve the Grace Episcopal Church family.

Thank you, Father Godson, for your ministry, and for blessing our congregation with your presence. We pray that God will continue to strengthen and richly bless you as you faithfully serve His people.
