Remember Lot's Wife.

This serves as both a warning and a reminder from Jesus in Luke 17:32. Not only for her judgment, but for the lessons her life teaches. She was greatly blessed and privileged, married to Lot and warned ahead of time about God’s coming destruction of S***m. She knew the truth and knew what God expected, yet knowing better did not lead her to do better.

Her spiritual problems were unbelief, disobedience, and a heart still attached to the world she was leaving behind. Our gaze often determines our path. What we continually look toward will eventually influence the direction of our lives. Lot’s wife serves as a warning that there are no “little sins” and that partial obedience is still disobedience.
In the end, her punishment came because she looked back, revealing where her heart truly was. Jesus’ simple command in Luke 17:32, “Remember Lot’s wife,” challenges us to keep our eyes on the Lord and move forward in faithful obedience without longing for the things God has called us to leave behind.

Ask yourself today, "What am I looking back to that God has called me to leave behind?"

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Vacation Bible School that was set to start Monday. While we are disappointed that we won't be able to gather as planned, we trust God's guidance and appreciate your understanding.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, prayed, and planned to attend. We are grateful for your support and look forward to future opportunities to fellowship and grow together.

May God bless you and your family.

Am I a Stepping Stone or a Stumbling Block?
Something we should be asking ourselves daily:

What kind of example am I setting for those around me? If someone followed my life, would they be drawn closer to Christ or further away from Him? Paul encouraged believers to follow godly examples while warning against those whose lives contradict the gospel (Philippians 3:17–19). Are my words, attitudes, and actions reflecting God's truth, or are they sending a mixed message? When I teach, preach, or speak about God's Word, am I handling it faithfully and living it consistently?

Romans 14:13 asks us to consider whether our choices may cause a brother or sister to stumble, and Romans 14:21 reminds us that loving others is more important than exercising our personal freedoms. Jesus gave a sobering warning in Mark 9:42 about causing others to fall away. If people only knew Christ through my example, what would they see? Would they find a stepping stone that points them to Jesus, or a stumbling block that stands in their way?

2nd Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

When these conditions are met, God promises to hear from heaven, forgive sin, and heal the land. This is not a formula guaranteeing revival, but it establishes the spiritual environment in which God’s transformative work becomes possible

By humbling ourselves, praying, seeking God’s face, and turning from wickedness, we position ourselves to experience God’s forgiveness and healing.
