Yesterday we had a wonderful Father’s Day at North Jax as we celebrated the dedication of five precious babies. But what made the day even more special was this: of the five families, three sets of parents, either one or both of them were dedicated as babies right here at North Jax by Pastor Herb himself.

What a beautiful picture of God’s faithfulness across generations.

As parents stood before our church family committing to raise their children to know and follow Jesus, we were reminded that the impact of a faithful church extends far beyond a single Sunday. It reaches from one generation to the next.

We are grateful for the families God continues to bring to North Jax and for the legacy of faith being built and passed on right before our eyes.

This is the blessing of generational faith. This is the goodness of God.

Today we kick off KIDS VBS! From baby dedications to Vacation Bible School, we are committed to investing in the next generation and helping young hearts discover the hope found in Jesus.

We had a wonderful Father’s Day at North Jax!

Along with our small groups and two dynamic worship services, we celebrated the dedication of five precious babies. It was a special reminder of how God continues to bring young families to our church and how North Jax is helping point the next generation to Jesus.

Pastor Herb preached from Exodus 8–10 on “The Captivity of Compromise.” Through Pharaoh’s negotiations with Moses, we were reminded that the enemy is always willing to tolerate a version of Christianity that is compromised, convenient, and powerless as long as it keeps us from fully surrendering to God.

Pharaoh offered four compromises, and each one still confronts believers today:

• Carnal Christianity: “Stay in Egypt.”
Follow God, but remain attached to the world and its values.

• Cautious Christianity: “Don’t go too far.”
Love Jesus, but don’t get too passionate or fully committed.

• Complacent Christianity: “Leave the family behind.”
Follow God yourself, but neglect the spiritual condition of the next generation.

• Convenient Christianity: “Leave your possessions in Egypt.”
Give God part of your life while keeping control of everything else.

Pastor Herb challenged us to reject every form of compromise and embrace complete surrender to Christ. God is not calling His people to fit into the world; He is calling us to come out and live differently. True freedom is found when we stop negotiating with sin and fully submit every area of our lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

At our Midweek Worship service this week, Pastor Josh preached from Acts 6 and reminded us that God often does His greatest work through faithful people who are willing to serve.

The early church stayed united, met needs, and kept the mission moving forward because ordinary believers stepped up when it mattered most.

As we continue to grow at North Jax, may we be known for that same spirit of faithfulness, humility, and service.

The church doesn't need perfect people. It needs faithful people.

Tonight, Pastor Josh preached a message entitled "A Problem-Solving Church" from Acts 6:1-7 during our Midweek Worship Service.

As the early church grew, so did its challenges. Needs were overlooked, complaints arose, and unity was tested. But instead of allowing the problem to create division, the church addressed it with wisdom, servant leadership, and a commitment to the mission.

One powerful reminder from tonight's message was this: "Crisis doesn't build character. Crisis reveals character." Challenges have a way of exposing what is already in our hearts.

A healthy church isn't a problem-free church. It is a church that responds to problems God's way. The church doesn't need perfect people. It needs faithful people who are willing to serve, meet needs, and protect the unity of the body.

When God's people respond with faithfulness and grace, the mission moves forward, the gospel advances, and God is glorified.
