For those who joined us today for Easter!
I stated today, I lost my notes during my teaching. Here they are.
“What’s in Your Tomb?”
Church, today we remember that the tomb of Jesus Christ was real. It was sealed. It looked final.
And yet—it was not the end.
But here’s the question:
What about the tomb in your life?
Some of us walked in today carrying things we’ve buried:
• Pain we don’t talk about
• Guilt we can’t shake
• Relationships that feel beyond repair
• Dreams we’ve quietly given up on
We’ve rolled a stone over them and said, “It’s over.”
But the resurrection tells a different story.
The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the grave is still at work. God is not intimidated by sealed places, dark places, or hopeless places.
That stone you thought was permanent?
God can move it.
That situation you think is dead?
God can revive it.
The tomb is not the end—it’s the place where God begins something new.
So don’t hide your tomb.
Bring it to Him.
Because what feels final to you
is not final to God.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with the places in our lives that feel like tombs.
The things we’ve buried…
the pain we’ve hidden…
the guilt we carry…
the hope we’ve lost.
Lord, we confess that sometimes we believe the stone is too heavy
and the situation is too far gone.
But today, we remember the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We ask You now:
Roll the stone away.
Bring life where there is death.
Bring healing where there is pain.
Bring freedom where there is bo***ge.
Help us trust that You are still working,
even in the places we’ve given up on.
We surrender our tombs to You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Happy Easter.
