ABOUT OUR CHURCH
New Zion Healing Temple is a growing church in northwest Jackson that provides a loving place for Jackson’s people to grow in their relationship with God and with others. The church is located a few blocks down from the Jackson Medical Mall at Woodrow Wilson and Martin Luther King Dr.
The church’s emergence came from a Pentecostal organization known as New Zion Gospel Church in
1977. It has since undergone several name changes, the latest being New Zion Healing Temple International (NZHTI). The church was founded by the late Melvin and Shirley Coleman, and has been in operation for nearly forty-five years. During these years, it remains a strong oneness apostolic Pentecostal church that stands on a holiness foundation bringing Glory to God! After the passing of Senior Pastor Shirley Coleman, the call came to assistant pastor, Ernestine Jackson, to step into the position and assume Pastor of New Zion’s duties. Within one year as an ordained pastor, she accepted yet another leadership elevation when she answered the call for Apostle’s title. Apostle Jackson received instructions from the Lord to retire from a job she’d held for twenty six years and minister to the needy. She took hold of those instructions and established the New Creation Service Center. This proved to be a considerable undertaking, but she learned to trust God completely through it all. New Zion Healing Temple International is a servant Pentecostal church organization with churches, ministries and members in other locations of Mississippi and Haiti locations. The NZHTI embraces its mission to spread the gospel as far as our vision will take us. NZHTI has established two mission connections in Haiti with more than sixty churches and pastors within these missions and one church in Mount Olive, MS. Current institutions include one Bible School of Ministry – A.C.T.S.; a homeless shelter, and an outreach community center to provide services to the needy. The pastor has recently received the call to serve Israel. The members are committed to spreading the gospel of the kingdom to the whole world. Other initiatives being spearheaded by Apostle Jackson includes:
*Preparing disciples for Kingdom prosperity (spirit, soul, body)…
*Perfecting saints for the work of Kingdom Ministry with dominion and
power!
*Developing passionate disciples to take the Gospel of the Kingdom (The Good News) to the whole world. SERVICE SCHEDULE
