No matter how strong and mighty a tree may look, its strength isn’t determined by what we see. Its true strength comes from its root system. Deep roots help a tree withstand the elements, while shallow roots can leave it vulnerable when storms come.

We’re built much the same way.

We’ve been in a series called Rooted in Christ, inspired by these words from Ephesians 3:

“Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.”

If you want to stand firm through life’s storms, sink your roots deep into something lasting. There is nothing deeper or more enduring than God’s love for you.

Be rooted in Christ. When the storms come and the winds blow, his love gives you a firm foundation to stand on.

Did you know Rivertree is a polling location for Blackman Township? We are looking for volunteers who will help our community feel welcomed as they vote on November 3rd.

This will include opening doors, offerings drinks and snacks, making coffee, or just being a smiling face!

Pastor Josh closed our service last weekend with a song that connected with what we’d been talking about in Ephesians 2.

We were dead in our sin. Without hope. Lost. But God stepped in and gave us life. A new life.

Many people are walking through life lost in sin, pretending everything is fine when it isn’t. Maybe that’s you. Maybe you’re longing for more than just making it through each day, pouring your energy into things that won’t last.

Well, black sheep… Jesus loves you. Run to the Good Shepherd.

SNAP is a ministry for adults with special needs that meets every Tuesday evening at Rivertree Church. Come support the wonderful men and women in our community as they share their talents with their SNAP family. You’re sure to leave encouraged!

The fun starts at 6:00p. Come cheer them on!

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

Stop working to earn it. Just rest in it.

You read your Bible, make time for prayer, and attend church—but still feel like something is missing. Maybe it seems like everyone else has it figured out, and you’re wondering if something is wrong with you.

Knowing about God matters. It helps us understand Him better. But knowing God personally can change our lives.

To know someone is to grow familiar with their heart, their passions, and what moves them. Paul prayed that God would give believers wisdom and revelation so they could know Him better (Ephesians 1:17).

May we keep growing—not only in what we know about God, but also in our relationship with Him. As we study Ephesians, our goal isn’t just to learn more about God; it’s to know Him better.

Join us this Sunday as we continue our series, Rooted in Christ.
