An expository examination of John 17 the prayer of Jesus.

Good evening my friends. I pray you had an awesome day with Jesus Christ as you walked with Him...and...listened to Him.

I was in a discussion the other day...and decided to write on the Prayer of Jesus in John Chapter 17.

I will ask that you pay very close attention as we go through this very powerful prayer... verse by verse...Let us begin with John 17:1...

1)...These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

2...As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

Okay...The Book of John...was pinned by the Apostle John...while following Jesus for three years....in the 1st Century.

Now...please take very careful notice to what Jesus is doing here...yes He is praying but there is something else I want you to see.

Do you see it? Jesus is not crying...no...He is not screaming at the Father in Heaven...no.

Instead...Jesus is just simply having a conversation with His Father in heaven. Let this sink in for a moment.

Why is this point so very important to bring out? Simply because...the Father in Heaven simply desires...fellowship...with us.

When you pray...you don't have to cry...but I also know that praying from the heart can be very emotional...and that is okay...God totally understands. See Psalm 56:8.

You don't have to raise your voice thinking God may not hear you...no no...just pray in a conversational style...and God will hear you just fine.

Now...in verse 1...Jesus says the hour has come...Father glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee.

How would Jesus be glorified??? Jesus would be glorified...1st...by His crucifixion and his death...

fulfilling the Feast of Passover...and see John 1:29... and the Feast of unleavened bread...also known as...dead bread.

And secondly...Jesus would be glorified by His Resurrection...from the tomb (dead)... conquering...death, hell, and the grave... and would fulfill the Feast of Firstfruits.

These Feasts of the Lord...are found in Leviticus Chapter 23. Both parts of Christ's glorification...also Glorified the Father in heaven.

Now...in verse 2...Jesus says...As thou hast given him power over all flesh....

Question...What kind of power did Jesus have? Well...I am going to tell you...right now.

But first...remember Philippians 2:7-8...the Bible says...

7...But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8...And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Let us get a good understanding here. The Bible says...Jesus made himself of no reputation...

meaning...He emptied himself of all of his glory...and became a man...and took upon him the form of a servant.

Everything He had as the Father has...in his human body...he had no more...so the Father replenished Him...so that He could heal and do miracles in his human body.

So...let us look at the power Jesus had in his human body...He had the Fruit of the Spirit... of which there are 9 fruit...see Galatians 5:22-23.

However comma...there is a foundation that these 9 fruit stand on...and this foundation is...Wisdom.

Please pay very close attention here. Jesus had the Baptism of the Holy Spirit... and there are 9 of them...of which one is the gift of Wisdom...see 1 Corinthians 12:8a.

The last power He had...is known as...the Baptism of Fire. With this Baptism...he could heal the sick, make the Lame to walk...

Open the blind eye, open the deaf ear, make the mute to speak, cast out devils and raise the dead. Well this list is only 7.

But the truth is...the Baptism of Fire...has two more components...

#8 is...the ability to explain Holy Scripture... which He did with His disciples...and in His teachings to the multitudes...and #9...is very crucial...for all 8...which is...Wisdom.

Powerful isn't? Oh indeed...yes and Amen! When God calls someone to preach and to teach His Holy Word...God will give them the very same power Jesus had in His human body.

Ponder that above...Now...when you read John 14:12...you should get a much deeper understanding.

John 14:12...Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

The Fruit of the Spirit, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the Baptism of Fire!!! They will receive a triple portion of wisdom!

Powerful indeed...for God...is not the God of lack. He is the God...of more than enough!!!

Now...let us finish verse 2.. that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

Question...how many people has God given to Jesus...that he should give eternal life to?

Answer...as many as the Father in Heaven has given unto His only Begotten Son...

Which is written in John 3:16...For God so loved the world...that is everyone who has ever been born...on this earth...

That whosoever believeth on Him should not perish...but have everlasting life.

How many whosoevers are there? God only knows...but there are many...Amen and Amen!

I will stop here for now...and let you have the opportunity to study this very powerful Chapter of John 17.

A Study on Revelation 22:2

Good afternoon friends. I pray you have an awesome Friday...walking with Jesus...and looking forward to the weekend.

I had a phone conversation earlier this morning and the conversation landed on Revelation 22:2.

I will take a moment to expound and explain this most fascinating verse.

Let us take a look at what the Apostle John wrote...centuries ago...in the 1st century...

Revelation 22:1...And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Revelation 22:2...In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

After the Great White Throne of Judgment in Revelation 20:11-15...A new heaven and new earth are seen in place...and there is no more sea. See Revelation 21:1.

In Revelation 22:1...the Bible is very specific. John sees a river of water of life...in the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life.

On either side of the river?...think, think, think. A river always has two sides...heaven is no different.

Therefore...there are 2 trees of life...in heaven. One on either side of the river of Life.

And these trees of life...bare 12 manner of fruits...one manner for each month of the year... and the leaves of the trees are for the healing of the nations.

Now...why are there two trees of life? Think, think, think. There are two groups of people.

We have the humans on earth...still in their earth suits.. and we have people who have been changed into their Glorified Human Bodies. See Luke 24:39 & Philippians 3:21.

Now...those people who have been changed into their Glorified Human bodies...will never ever get sick again...nor will they ever die... so from one tree...we will enjoy the fruit

The other tree is for the healing of the nations...who have people still in their earth suits...they will get sick just like we do now... and the leaves of their tree of life are for their healing.

More than likeky...just like we do today...the leaves will be boiled in water...and a tea will be made that they will drink...for their healing.

Now the question was asked...will the people on earth...still in their earth suits...have a sin nature?

That is a very good question. Let us allow the Bible to speak on this point...

Revelation 22:14...Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Revelation 22:15...For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Wow. .the Bible says a mouthful in Revelation 22:15. Let me explain this here.

In the Millennial Reign of Christ on the earth, there will be a massive population explosion. At the end of 1000 years, Satan is loosed and goes out to decieve the people again...

and there are many...who are numbered as the sands of the sea. See Revelation 20:8.

The descendants of this massive population explosion...of Revelation 20:8...are the ones mentioned in Revelation 22:15.

Why? God does not send children to hell or even the Lake of fire. He allows them to live...so they can decide to accept Jesus or not.

This is why the Bible says...outside the city are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

A very fascinating picture in Revelation Chapter 22. How long does God allow them to live? I cannot say...because the Bible does not say.

But.. when that time comes...we will all find out. I am certain some will accept Jesus... and I know they will live.

But the others...would be speculation on my part of which I will not do. But God could very well love them into believing in Him. See Matthew 19:26.

I encourage you...keep studying your Bibles and allow the Holy Spirit...make the Word come alive unto you as you read & study

Good evening my friends. I pray you have had an awesome day with Jesus.

I was reading posts a bit ago and one struck me...that I had to ponder my thoughts and I wrote this poem.

Most of you, I am sure have heard of the farmer with the two clay pots? Well, I wrote a poem about our imperfections and how God uses us in life to help others on their journey.

The title is...The Cracked Pot

Today...many people...try so hard to hold on
and their efforts...are repeated...every dawn

Their relationships at times seem very empty
even though...they give their all...with plenty

They compare themselves with other people
and attend church...even one with a steeple

But other people look like they are in order
and they just can't seem to reach the border

Their neighbors keep their yards very clean
and their flower gardens...are...so pristine

Perfection...is definitely...not on their radar
and they try...but can't even reach the bar

Oh but when they look back...on their path
and see the seeds planted...near the lath

They used two pots...one with a cracked rot
for the one that leaked was The Cracked Pot

Good morning my dear friends. I pray you have an awesone day with Jesus...and enjoying his presence in your life.

Last night, I heard a phrase in my Spirit...and saved it. I woke up this morning about 7:15 am and began thinking on the Word...the Bible.

Then, my thoughts came to me and the phrase from yesterday and I sat down and wrote this poem.

The title is...A broken heart

Today...many people suffer from being alone
and are very weary...down...to their bones

They began to live their lives...by themselves
and their gifts...are neatly...on their shelves

They wonder...what did they do...so wrong
and...they sit and ponder...all the day long

They will have moments when they will weep
and the ache in their hearts ...is very deep

They try to find something...to ease the pain
and many days...they sit and listen...to rain

They pray for relief...that will never depart
for Jesus will touch & heal...A broken heart

Good evening my friends. I pray you had an awesome day walking with Jesus.

Last night I was reading some posts and read one about relationships. So, I pondered awhile what I read...and wrote this poem...

The title is...In Holy Light

Today, many people...are looking for love
and they desire closeness...like two doves

Many though...look in all the wrong places
and end up alone...with many sad faces

The world offers joy and pleasures much
and all we need is to reach out and touch

But the world doesn't tell you about the pain
and never shelters you...from the cold rain

But there is a much better plan to find love
and there is no pain and...fits like a glove

So two hearts meet...like a flash so bright
for they found each other...In Holy Light

An endepth study on Genesis 1:1-3.

Good late evening my friends. I was reading posts the other night and came across this question. So, I wanted to share my response with you.

This question was asked...How could there be light on the first day of Creation if the sun was not created until the fourth day?

My response--> Why is creation...so simple to God...yet so complicated for human beings?

Genesis 1:1..IN THE BEGINNING...there was no created light...no sun...no moon...no stars...

but there was time...not as we know it...but as time is with God...constant.

Now...the line of demarcation is drawn here... with time...from constant...to ever changing.

Genesis 1:1...continued...God created the heaven and the earth.

The heaven...is space...the earth is matter in its complete form...

with all of the trees, streams, lakes, flowers, and everything good...and time...is now... changing...every second.

The heaven...represents the 1st and second heaven...meaning the earth's atmosphere and beyond...

where the sun, moon, stars, and other planets and galaxies are.

Suffice it to say...everything came into existence...in Genesis 1:1....EVERYTHING...at the same time...known as a...continuum!!!

Why? God don't halfstep...like we humans do.

Now...Genesis 1:2...And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Genesis 1:2...records...the very 1st flood on the earth. Why? In Genesis 1:1...the earth was not flooded.

But Genesis 1:2 says...the earth was without form, and void...meaning...had no life on the planet...everything...was now dead.

And darkness was upon the face of the deep. Why was there darkness...when the sun was created in Genesis 1:1?

Because...of sin. That's right...because of sin...whose sin? Lucifer's sin...see Isaiah 14:13-14.

He sinned...in heaven...after the earth was created in Genesis 1:1 and was cast down to earth. When he was...he contaminated God's sin free planet...see Luke 10:18.

So...God started all over again...in Genesis 1:3. But space was not flooded...only the earth.

So in Genesis 1:2...when God flooded the earth...He turned off the sun...like we do a light switch...at work or in our homes.

So...in Genesis 1:3...when God said...Let there be light...

He simply "threw" the light switch back to the on position...and the sun has been shining... ever since.

The endepth study of Genesis Chapter 1.. is a very fascinating study...indeed!
