Women of Excellence - WOE originated from a women's only Sunday school class that focused on healing damaged emotions and increasing self-worth taught by Alicia Ramsey in 2006. After teaching the class for several years, she made a request of her Senior Pastor to organize a special Friday night event to give women an outlet from their busy schedule. In 2008, she took her commitment to God, educati

onal background and love for people and poured into the first "lock-in" experience. This overnight event exceeded her wildest imagination and became a city wide event. This event has been ongoing since. Since the inception of WOE, the lock-in was housed at New Life Worship Center..."A local church with a global vision". With an exuberant amount of people showing up for the conference, Mrs. Ramsey had to find a new location. In 2011, she launched WOE conference to the city of Indianapolis at The Old National Theatre. In 2012, she continued to have an outpouring of support from woman who traveled from all over the region to attend the conference. The conference was once again at The Old National Theatre in downtown Indianapolis. The conference included over 2000 women of different ages, ethnicities, and religious backgrounds. The overall goal of the conference is to provide an experience that empowers, uplifts, inspires, and motivates our attendees. The feedback from participants confirms that we continue to be successful in attaining that goal. The Women of Excellence event is designed to give women an opportunity to release the everyday stress from working their careers, attending school, caring for aging parents, raising their children and trying their best to accomplish goals for life success.

**Black History Moment ✊🏾**

Today we honor **Ketanji Brown Jackson**, the first Black woman to serve on the **Supreme Court of the United States**. Confirmed in 2022, her historic appointment marked a powerful milestone in American history and representation in the highest court of the nation.

Before joining the Court, Justice Jackson served as a federal public defender, vice chair of the U.S. Sentencing Commission, and a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Her broad legal experience and commitment to justice reflect excellence, perseverance, and dedication to public service.

Her journey continues to inspire generations to pursue leadership, break barriers, and expand what’s possible.
