We're looking forward to celebrating VBS Sunday tomorrow at 10 AM. Our VBS friends will lead us in the songs and dances they learned this week.

In the spirit of What's Cookin' VBS, our kids donated non-perishable foods this week that we will deliver to the Community Cupboard of Lawrence.

🎉 That’s a wrap on What’s Cookin’ VBS 2026!

👩‍🍳 Cooking is more than just mixing stuff together—it takes time, creativity, care, and knowing what each ingredient brings to the table. The same is true when it comes to growing our faith! We had the best time this week discovering spiritual habits that bring us closer to God. Through Old Testament stories like those of Jacob, Moses, and Deborah, our young chefs learned that God always makes time for us, God gave us gifts that make a difference, God makes us stronger together, and we make God known when we share our story.

🫶 We’re beyond thankful for the families who trusted us with their children this week, the many amazing youth and adult volunteers, and the support of our church family!

Important Update: VBS is canceled tonight, Wednesday, June 17, due to predicted severe weather.

We hate to disappoint the kids and miss an evening together, but safety comes first.

Please stay safe this evening, and we can't wait to see you on Thursday for our last night of What's Cookin' VBS.

UPDATE: We have decided to cancel this evening, Wednesday, June 17.

We’re having the BEST time this week at What’s Cookin’ VBS!

To keep everyone safe, we’re keeping a close eye on the severe weather predicted tomorrow evening.

If your child is registered for VBS, please check your email on Wednesday afternoon. We will send an email by 3 PM to let you know if the Wednesday session of VBS is cancelled or not.

This afternoon is the first Gleaners Food Bank CARE mobile pantry grocery distribution at Castleton UMC of the summer.

Tuesday, June 9, 3-5 PM

Groceries will be distributed in a drive-thru line. First-come, first-served.
There is NO criteria you need to meet to receive food.

Please enter the line from Shadeland Station at our Ministry Center building located at 7160 Shadeland Station.
