Years ago in a revival in a small town in Kansas, a church leader encouraged Rex and I to “slow down” a bit. “But,” he said, “it’s difficult to slow down a race horse!”
Living life to the full, every day, is a joy!
“Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, And let those who hate Him flee before Him.” Psalms 68:1
This morning in my scripture reading, this Psalm instantly brought Brother Richard Gremillion to my mind. I can see him in my mind’s eye, as he gives his entire being to bringing that message built on those first three words that he vigorously expounded on that morning at that General Conference in a small town in Arkansas.
“LET”
“GOD”
“ARISE!”
I may have written down his outline to that message and it is somewhere but I don’t have a clue where it is today.
Janet, Dianne or anyone who was there, do you happen to have it? Would you share it with me? I need to think on the words he so eloquently spoke that day.
“But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God;
Yes, let them rejoice with gladness.
Sing to God,
Sing praises to His name;
Lift up a song for Him who rides through the deserts, Whose name is the Lord,
and exult before Him.”
Psalms 68:3-4 NASB
I want my mind to be filled with the amazing God who rides through the desserts, bringing water to the thirsty!
The God who lives today
And is working in the lives of his people.
The Savior who never leaves us alone, the One who fights our battles for us!
The Creator of light, and darkness,
Mountains, and valleys,
Seed time and harvest, Sunshine and rain!
Rather than allowing myself to be weighed down by various trials and battles that would silence my voice,
I want to honor the Lord,
to be glad,
to rejoice,
to lift up a song
and sing praises to the great Creator of all things!
I want to sing of a father to the fatherless
And a judge for the widows, My God in His holy habitation,
The God who makes a home for the lonely;
The One who leads out the prisoners into prosperity…”
Psalms 68:5-6
My heart is full of praise to Him today💝
Thank you to so many of you who have called me, texted me and prayed for me as I’m going through another deep valley in this journey of life.
A misunderstanding of the dr’s orders led me overdoing activities Wednesday. So rest was on the menu Thursday!
And I’m feeling a bit better today! I’ll make myself rest through Sunday then gently introduce myself into my “normal routine,” whatever that is 🤣
