Women's Ministries International (WMI)

Women's Ministries International (WMI) WOMEN'S MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL is a women's organization uniting and empowering the global sisterho We thank God for this wonderful privilege!

Women's Ministries International was a non-profit foundation, serving women, sponsoring women’s conferences and highlighting women’s needs, speaking for women who had no other voice. WMI collaborated with individuals and agencies within the Free Methodist Church, the public, private, and independent sectors to provide resources, attention, and support to programs designed to empower micro-economic

enterprises in under-developed countries. Understanding the mammoth task with which WMI was charged, we served by providing programs, advocacy, and funding for cottage industries, educational, medical, clean water and anti human trafficking programs. With multiple independent groups and main offices headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, the foundation offered help to a wide array of programs and services covering six continents. These programs and services were designed to address needs for individuals and groups, enabling them to have access to education, employment, and similar opportunities. WMI served and partnered with women in the United States and around the world for over 125 years.

Years ago in a revival in a small town in Kansas, a church leader encouraged Rex and I to “slow down” a bit. “But,” he said, “it’s difficult to slow down a race horse!”

Living life to the full, every day, is a joy!

“Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, And let those who hate Him flee before Him.” Psalms‬ ‭68‬:‭1‬

This morning in my scripture reading, this Psalm instantly brought Brother Richard Gremillion to my mind. I can see him in my mind’s eye, as he gives his entire being to bringing that message built on those first three words that he vigorously expounded on that morning at that General Conference in a small town in Arkansas.
“LET”
“GOD”
“ARISE!”

I may have written down his outline to that message and it is somewhere but I don’t have a clue where it is today.

Janet, Dianne or anyone who was there, do you happen to have it? Would you share it with me? I need to think on the words he so eloquently spoke that day.

“But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God;
Yes, let them rejoice with gladness.
Sing to God,
Sing praises to His name;
Lift up a song for Him who rides through the deserts, Whose name is the Lord,
and exult before Him.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NASB

I want my mind to be filled with the amazing God who rides through the desserts, bringing water to the thirsty!

The God who lives today
And is working in the lives of his people.

The Savior who never leaves us alone, the One who fights our battles for us!

The Creator of light, and darkness,
Mountains, and valleys,
Seed time and harvest, Sunshine and rain!

Rather than allowing myself to be weighed down by various trials and battles that would silence my voice,
I want to honor the Lord,
to be glad,
to rejoice,
to lift up a song
and sing praises to the great Creator of all things!

I want to sing of a father to the fatherless
And a judge for the widows, My God in His holy habitation,
The God who makes a home for the lonely;
The One who leads out the prisoners into prosperity…”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭

My heart is full of praise to Him today💝

Thank you to so many of you who have called me, texted me and prayed for me as I’m going through another deep valley in this journey of life.

A misunderstanding of the dr’s orders led me overdoing activities Wednesday. So rest was on the menu Thursday!

And I’m feeling a bit better today! I’ll make myself rest through Sunday then gently introduce myself into my “normal routine,” whatever that is 🤣

Along with Jacob, I want to say, God has answered me in the day of my distress and has gone with me wherever I have gone!

The Lord truly is great and worthy of our praise, no matter where we are or what our situation is❤️

The weather outside is still frightful, even at 38 degrees with a high of almost 40 predicted!
Ice still covers my driveway and lawn!
But, I’m thankful for safety when I take Dolly out.
She’s almost getting used to slipping and sliding trying to find a place to do her business.

Me? I’m staying safe on the dry area immediately in front of the garage, thankful for a long leash on Dolly!

…Put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil.

Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.

For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.

In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.

Put on salvation as your helmet and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion.

Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Ephesians 6:13-18

How wonderful it is that God has provided all we need to overcome the enemy and live a victorious life!

“You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.” Psalm‬ ‭27:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Thank God He invites us to call on Him, to seek Him.

He hears and answers as we seek Him.

Missionaries still in Ukraine have sent word to that effect. Rockets go off in the air instead of hitting their targets! Tanks have broken down and are left by the side of the road!

Thank God! He is at work!
David still defeats Goliath when God is at work!

Jesus told his disciples, “In this world you will have tribulation but take heart! I have overcome the world!” (John 16:33) People in Afghanistan, Haiti and around the world are in the midst of tribulation. What a comfort to know that because Jesus overcame, we too can overcome. Please pray diligently for those in sever tribulation now🙏

The Spirit helps us in our weakness! Think about it! If we recognize our weakness, we understand this goes beyond our physical strength. It’s our inner strength, our spiritual strength, or lack of strength. If we don’t recognize our weakness, we are in big trouble. (Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall) The good news is that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness! The truth is, we do not know what to pray for as we ought! We think we do! But do we? We do not! But the Spirit intercedes for us! How thrilling is that?! And this is the reason we must pray, “Your will Lord be done,” for the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God (v.27). What great strength is ours when the Spirit intercedes for us!

Wait on the Lord; be of good courage and he shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord (Psalm 27:14)
Easy to say, very difficult to do! We have a tendency to take matters into our own hands, do what needs to be done.
But remember Saul; he failed to wait for the the prophet, took matters into his own hands, felt he HAD to do something and went ahead, offered a sacrifice instead of waiting for the prophet. It was the beginning of his downfall!
Wait on the Lord; allow Him to work and see the great difference! He will strengthen your heart.
Take courage, God is at work where you cannot; and He does so much more and so much better than what we can do in our own strength!
Wait on the Lord!
