You are never more understood than when you feel completely alone.

In Mark 14, we read the devastating reality of Jesus’ final hours. His closest friends fell asleep, His support system collapsed, and He was utterly abandoned to face His trial alone. While this is a tragic narrative to read, it offers us immense hope. When you look at Jesus, you are not looking at a distant, detached deity. You follow a Savior who has felt the sting of betrayal, the weight of loneliness, and the pain of being misunderstood.

Jesus doesn’t just look down on your pain with pity, He looks at you with firsthand understanding.

Whatever you are walking through today, remember: He gets it.

Living with purpose starts with one simple question: What would you do differently if you knew your time was limited?

We often think of "intentional living" as a massive life overhaul, but it’s actually much simpler. It’s about doing the "good before you" right now. As Proverbs 3:27 says, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.” Whether you’re at work, with your family, or even homebound, there is a work of worship and service specifically for you in this moment.

Don't wait for a bigger platform to start serving. Do the good that’s right in front of you today.

Your days are numbered—make them count!

We live like we have forever, but we aren't even promised tomorrow.

Jesus’ command in Mark 13:32-37 is clear: "Watch!" We don’t know the day or the hour of His return, and Jesus reminds us, we don’t know the hour of our own end either. Both are hidden by the Father.

Like Moses prayed in Psalm 90:12, we must ask God to "teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."

Wisdom isn't just knowing that time is short, it's also choosing how to live because of it.

Don't wait for a "better time" to seek Him. Today is the day.

What if the thing that’s burning you is actually preparing you?

Just like in Alaska where wildfires clear a million acres to make room for a healthy forest, God uses the fire in our lives to burn away the things we don't need.

"In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The fire is good for us. It’s refining us for what’s ahead.

Trust the Refiner. He knows what He's doing.

Your wilderness isn’t a dead end, it’s a training ground.

In Deuteronomy 8:2-3, we’re reminded that God led His people through the desert to humble them and test their hearts. He wasn't trying to break them; He was teaching them that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

God uses the dry seasons to drain us of self-reliance so He can fill us with His strength.

Don't waste your wilderness. Let it refine you.

“Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.”
Deuteronomy 8:2-3 NIV
