The Remnant Faith Community Remnants are those pieces that are left over or left behind, often considered of little worth. God promises to gather them and bring them home. God sees you.

In the Bible, the remnant refers to the faithful who have been scattered and left behind. In the same way, many of us feel as though we have been scattered far from home and left behind. God has not forgotten you. God loves you. God calls you. You have infinite worth. We at The Remnant seek to make this a community that welcomes those who don’t always fit the norm. We want to welcome those who hav

e often been overlooked or undervalued. We welcome those who have been life-time Christ-followers and those who have many doubts and are asking lots of questions. This is your Wednesday reminder that we are only days away from our Friday evening gathering. Pastor Katrina is making ham and bean soup and veggie beef soup for our meal. Doors open at 5:15 and the meal is served at 6. At 6:50 we begin with prayer and at 7 pm we go live on fb as Stephen brings us a message on The Ascension from John 17:1-11. We hope to see you there! Meet our Interim Executive Director, Jillian Jones.

Jillian grew up in Indiana County, going to Blairsville High School before getting her Bachelors at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe. She first heard about Family Promise as a teenager through her church's work with Family Promise. After graduating she married her husband Justin and got her Masters of Divinity at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Her faith is defined by the commandments to love God and love neighbor and has led her to have a special interest in the homelessness, disability, poverty and children in foster care. She has experience working with the Deaf community through being a Deaf Ministry Intern at Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community as well as those who struggle with their mental health being a Blended Case Manager at the Community Guidance Center helping link people to the resources they need to not just survive but thrive. For fun Jillian enjoys going for runs with her son, collaborative story telling with friends and anything to do with plants.

Jillian will be supporting this role until we fill the position. We are thankful for her assistance.

We are halfway through the week. Plans for Friday are well underway. Doors open at 5:15. For dinner at 6, our friends Bud & Gloria are going to bless us with kielbasa, hot dogs, & sauerkraut. Amy is bringing a Polish cucumber salad and Stephen is bringing a Polish green bean side. At 6:50 we share praise and prayers then at 7, Pastor Katrina will bring us a message from John 10:1-10 titled The Good Shepherd. We hope to see you there!
