We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who faithfully contributed to our Noisy Coin Collection. Because of your generosity, our children's ministry is able to participate in meaningful projects that teach our young people the value of serving others, caring for their community, and being the hands and feet of Christ.

Recently, the children had the opportunity to plant flowers at our local library, a project that not only beautified the community but also helped them learn about volunteerism, stewardship, and giving back. Through experiences like these, seeds of faith, compassion, and service are being planted in their hearts.

Thank you to all who donated, volunteered, and took a few moments out of your busy day to help make this project possible. Your kindness and support are helping to shape and guide our children as they grow in faith and learn the importance of serving others.

We also want to express our sincere gratitude to Ms. Polly and our local library for their warm hospitality and for providing a welcoming place where our children can learn, explore, and discover new possibilities. Your partnership is a true blessing.

As Scripture reminds us, "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9). Thank you all for investing in our children and our community. May God bless each of you for your generosity, service, and love.

We are so blessed to have this local library as a resource and gathering place in our community. Grateful for all those who faithfully give their time, talents, and energy to serve here. Planting these flowers as a ministry project was a small way to share God’s love, beauty, and appreciation for all they do. Thank you to Ms. Polly and Ms. Annette for joining us!

Morning Mercies with Pastor Leona
Good morning, friends.
Just checking in for a minute.
Maybe today already feels full. Maybe you woke up with a list running through your head before your feet even hit the floor. Or maybe you’re just tired, and you don’t even have a good reason for it.
So here’s your little mercy for this morning:
You don’t have to figure out the whole day before breakfast. Just start where you are. Take a breath. Say, “Lord, I’m here.” Then do the next thing in front of you with Him.
Scripture says,
“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”
Psalm 145:18
So call on Him right where you are. In the kitchen. In the car. At work. On the porch. Wherever this finds you.
Lord, come close today. Settle our hearts. Lift what feels heavy. Heal what is sore. And help us walk through this day with You. Amen.

Morning Mercies with Pastor Leona
John 15:13
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
I don’t want to say that verse too quickly.
On Memorial Day, we remember those who served and never came home. Men and women who stepped forward because they believed there were people worth protecting, places worth defending, and freedoms worth standing for.
Most of them wanted what we all want. Another day. Another meal at the table and good times shared with people they loved. But some gave everything. So before the grills, the plans, the sales, and the business of the day, I hope we pause long enough to remember the empty chairs. The families still carrying the loss. The veterans who came home with wounds we may never see.
And for those of us who follow Jesus, this kind of costly love turns our eyes to the cross. Not to compare sacrifices. But to remember where love leads when it gives itself completely. Jesus did not just speak of laying down His life. He came to do it. He came for us. He came because sin had broken what God made good. He came because we could not save ourselves. And this is the holy mystery: on the cross, God through Christ gave Himself for the life of the world.
So today we remember with gratitude. We pray for the families. We care for the wounded.
And we turn our hearts back to Jesus. Maybe the question is not only, “Would I lay down my life?”
Maybe it is closer than that. Will I live today like I understand what love has cost?
Lord, help us remember well. Amen.

May 23, 2026
Good morning.
I was reading this verse and thinking about Pentecost coming up, and then my mind wandered a bit. Jesus says, "If anyone is thirsty..." I got stuck on that word.
Thirsty.
Because thirsty people know they need something. They may not know exactly what, but they know something feels dry and empty.
Maybe that's why people keep themselves so busy. There is always something to clean, something to answer, somewhere to go. The grass needs mowed again. I don't know who taught grass to grow quite that fast. Then all of a sudden a week goes by like a blink.
Have you ever had that happen? And you think, "What did I even do this week?"
I was thinking about the disciples. Jesus had told them to wait for the Father's promise. They didn't fully understand what was coming. I don't think I would have understood either.
Then Pentecost happened. The Holy Spirit came.
And Peter always catches my attention because this is the same Peter who had gotten scared and denied Jesus before. Same face. Same voice. Same fisherman. But something was different. He wasn't hiding anymore. There was courage there. Joy too.
And I thought, that's it. The Holy Spirit didn't just give believers something extra to carry around. He changed how they lived. You can see it. You still can.
I have watched people walk through grief and somehow still have peace. I've watched hard people become soft. I've watched people who once flew off the handle learn patience. Not perfect but changed. Little by little. Maybe that's what being fully alive looks like. Not glaring, in an impressive way. Just Christ doing something in us that we could never quite do by ourselves.
Anyway, that was my coffee thought this morning. As we move toward Pentecost, here is something to carry with you and sit with this week:
Where in my life have I been mostly pushing and pulling on my own strength?
Where have I settled for simply getting through the day instead of living with the joy, peace, and life Christ gives through His Spirit?
Maybe don't rush to answer it. Just notice. Notice what rises up in your heart.
Let's pray.
Lord, thank You for giving us Your Spirit. Keep working in us because some days we still try to carry everything ourselves. Help us to notice You today and live with Your joy and Your life. Amen.
