The reminder is to keep this day focuses appropriately on what it is intended for. Memorial Day is to remember those who have died in the line of service. Here is the best way to keep these special days in proper focus.
๐๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ is to remember all who are ๐๐ช๐ง๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ก๐ฎ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐ค๐ง๐ข. This is the third Saturday of May each year. (May 16, 2026)
๐ฉ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ is to remember all who have ๐ฌ๐ค๐ง๐ฃ ๐ ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐ค๐ง๐ข ๐๐ฃ ๐จ๐๐ง๐ซ๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ง ๐๐ค๐ช๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ง๐ฎ. Veteranโs Day is celebrated on November 11 each year. It is set on this date to remember the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when World War I hostilities were formally ended.
๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฎ๐ is to honor and remember those ๐ฌ๐๐ค ๐ฃ๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐ฉ๐ค๐ค๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐ค๐ง๐ข ๐ค๐๐! They gave their lives in the line of duty.

In remembrance and honor of those who paid the ultimate price with their very life, and in support of their loved ones, I offer this prayer.

In the quiet sanctuaries of our own hearts,
let each of us name and call on the One whose power over us
is great and gentle, firm and forgiving, holy and healing.
You who created us,
who sustain us,
who call us to live in peace,
hear our prayer this day.
Hear our prayer for all who have died,
whose hearts and hopes are known to you alone.
Hear our prayer for those who put the welfare of others
ahead of their own and give us hearts as generous as theirs.
Hear our prayer for those who gave their lives
in the service of others,
and accept the gift of their sacrifice.
Help us to shape and make a world
where we will lay down the arms of war
and turn our swords into ploughshares
for a harvest of justice and peace.
Comfort those who grieve the loss of their loved ones
and let your healing be the hope in our hearts.
Hear our prayer this day
and in your mercy answer us
in the name of all that is holy.
The peace of God be with you.
