Service will always cost you something, but it is always worth it because it is exactly what God commands of us. Jesus set the example Himself. As Mark 10:45 reminds us, the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. True service puts us outside of ourselves and shifts our focus entirely onto others.

DON'T SETTLE
Pyrite (fool’s gold) looks like the real thing on the surface, but it’s brittle and hard. Superficial belief can look like faith, but it lacks the depth of a true conviction in God’s goodness. Real faith believes that God exists AND that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Don't settle for a veneer of faith—seek the real thing!

Ever taken a leap of faith only to land in a "giant mud puddle"? Sometimes life looks worse after you trust Jesus—the mess feels bigger, or the opposition grows. Remember the Israelites: things got harder right before they were delivered from Egypt. If it looks like it's getting worse, keep holding onto faith. He is in control and working for your good.
