STOP LOOKING BACK
📖 Genesis 19:26
“But his wife looked back…”
Yesterday we talked about what's leaving.
Today, we're talking about what you're looking back at.
🔥 I hear the Lord saying: STOP LOOKING BACK!
There is a reason God is taking you forward.
You cannot walk confidently into your new season while constantly turning around to see what is happening in the old one.
Some of you aren't physically going back, but your heart keeps going back.
You keep replaying the conversation.
You keep thinking about what they did.
You keep wondering what would have happened if you had stayed.
You keep checking on people God told you to leave alone.
You keep remembering how things used to be.
And every time you look back, you give yesterday another opportunity to speak to today.
STOP!
Lot's wife wasn't told to look back.
She was told to leave.
And that's a word for somebody:
God didn't bring you out so you could spend the rest of your life staring at what you came out of.
You cried there.
You struggled there.
You prayed there.
You lost yourself there.
But God brought you OUT.
Don't let nostalgia make you forget the pain.
Don't let loneliness convince you to return to bo***ge.
Don't let familiarity make you reject freedom.
You may miss it, but that doesn't mean you need to go back.
Read that again.
🔥 YOU MAY MISS IT, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU NEED TO GO BACK.
Sometimes we don't miss the person.
We miss who we thought they were.
Sometimes we don't miss the place.
We miss who we were before we got hurt there.
Sometimes we don't miss the season.
We miss the version of ourselves that existed in that season.
But God is saying:
“I have something ahead of you that requires you to stop looking behind you.”
Your future needs your attention.
Your healing needs your attention.
Your purpose needs your attention.
Your assignment needs your attention.
Your next chapter needs your attention.
So today, make a decision:
I WILL NOT LOOK BACK.
🔥 TODAY'S DECLARATION
I declare that I am no longer controlled by my past.
I will not allow yesterday to dictate today.
I will not return to what God delivered me from.
I will not romanticize what hurt me.
I will not allow memories to become chains.
My eyes are forward.
My feet are moving forward.
My heart is moving forward.
My purpose is moving forward.
And I WILL NOT LOOK BACK!

🙏🏽 DAY 2 PRAYER
Father, help me stop looking back.
Heal every place in me that still longs for what You have called me to leave.
When my mind tries to replay the past, remind me of Your faithfulness.
When loneliness makes me want to return, remind me why You brought me out.
When I begin questioning Your decision, remind me that You see what I cannot see.
Give me courage to keep walking.
Give me strength to keep moving.
And give me faith to believe that what You have ahead of me is greater than what You told me to leave behind.
I trust You with my past, my present, and my future.
In Jesus' name,
Amen. 🙏🏽

GOD BROUGHT ME OUT FOR A REASON.
