Here is a photo dump from yesterday’s work at the Ripley church of Christ in Ripley, MS. There were many hands helping those suffering in the community from the bitter cold, lack of power, lack of water, and icy travel conditions. The Ripley congregation had great support from members of other area congregations as well. The prayer teams had tender, compassionate conversations led by their elders, David and Michael, and their youth ministers, Cole and Tucker. There are too many names to mention, but God’s love was shown by those braving the cold outside while directing traffic and loading supplies into cars, those helping survivors navigate their way around and choose items, those running around filling needs wherever they arose, and those manning the kitchen making sure the helpers were kept fueled. It was especially wonderful to see the young people and children learning how to serve and doing so with smiles and joy! The congregation is excited about following up with all those who came through their doors to expand on this evangelism opportunity and teach the Gospel to those needing the Living Water! Please continue to pray for their efforts, those working so hard in freezing temperatures to restore power, and those suffering from this historic ice storm. There is Good News!
