Today, we pause to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than the beginning of summer, it is a sacred moment to reflect on sacrifice, courage, and the cost of freedom.

As we gather with family and friends, may we also hold space for remembrance, gratitude, and prayer for all who carry loss. May we continue striving to be people who work for peace, justice, compassion, and hope in our communities and in our world.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” Matthew 5:9

Don't forget to wear Pentacost colors tomorrow to church!

Christians continue to be moved by the Holy Spirit as they join in a transformative mission of sharing God’s love with all people.

Yesterday, we continued our I Am series with Jesus’ words:
“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.”

We paired that message with this vibrant image, One is All by Evans Yegan.

In this painting, Christ stands at the center with arms outstretched, surrounded by people from many backgrounds and walks of life. Light radiates outward in every direction, reminding us that the way of Jesus is not about exclusion or fear, but about drawing people together in love, hope, and belonging.

The title itself, One is All, points toward the truth that in Christ, humanity is deeply connected. The invitation of Jesus is not just about finding a path… it’s about becoming part of a community shaped by grace.

Because Jesus does not lead us away from one another…
Jesus leads us toward one another.

As we carry this into the week, maybe we keep asking:
What truths are shaping the way we live?
And how might we reflect the expansive love of Christ in the world around us?

Yesterday, we continued our I Am series with Jesus’ words:
“I am the True Vine.”

We paired that message with this historic icon, Christ, the True Vine, created by an anonymous artist.

In this image, Christ is surrounded by twisting branches and growing vines, a visual reminder that faith was never meant to be lived alone. The vine and branches are connected, intertwined, dependent on one another for life and growth.

This ancient artwork reminds us that abiding in Christ is not just about belief… it’s about relationship. Staying rooted in love. Staying connected to grace. Staying connected to one another.
Because branches don’t survive disconnected from the vine.

As we carry this into the week, maybe we keep asking:
What is keeping us rooted right now?
And how might we help nurture connection, life, and belonging for others?
