Memorial Day 2026 finds us once again standing in the shadow of sacrifice.
The North Main Church family remembers the heroes whose stories ended on battlefields but continue to live in our hearts, our freedoms, and our faith. We see the flags, the boots, the silent spaces at family tables—and we choose to honor, remember, and respect.
In the words of Jesus, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13) Today we see that love reflected in our fallen soldiers and in the Christ who laid down His life for the world.
Join us in this prayer:
“Lord, on this Memorial Day, we remember those who gave everything. Comfort every grieving family. Strengthen those who still serve. Help our leaders to act with wisdom and integrity. Teach us to be a people who value peace, justice, and compassion. May we never take lightly what others died to protect.”
As we HONOR THE BRAVE, REMEMBER THE FALLEN, TEACH THE LEGACY, and stand UNITED, may our lives become a living memorial of gratitude.
From North Main Church to our community and beyond: We remember. We give thanks. We will never forget.
