Do you believe it? What would you do differently if you believed, right down to your bones, that Jesus has conquered the world and its troubles?

Lord, give me courage to see the world the way you do, to see it as it really is.

What do you really love about your spouse, child, friend, parent, neighbor, teacher, co-worker, priest, sister, brother? Do you love them for their money or their generosity? For their looks or their beautiful, loving heart? We love one another for our eternal value and timeless, holy traits that spring up in us.

"I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you." -JOHN 14:18

An orphan may experience a sense of abandonment and a unique kind of disorientation in the world. Jesus' promise is protection against these devastating consequences: abandonment, rejection, being forgotton and without home or heritage.

Jesus has lifted your name before the Father. You have been remembered to the Father by the Son. You belong to them, they know you and attend to you.

Watched a 3 hour movie on Padre Pio. Very interesting. Pray, don't worry, and smile. All good advice. He humbled himself before the Lord, that he might be used for God's will. What do we need to work on to better humble ourselves? I know despite our failures and shortcomings, we are loved by God and to keep our eyes on the goal of Heaven. So many things of this world are temporary.

Someone said- "If you can see it, touch it, taste it, or hear it- it will soon pass away." We can't walk in the Spirit if we are living with a Carnal mind. Knowledge is power and I find myself drawn more and more to the Word of God. I can't live in victory if I haven't won the battle of my mind. Help me Lord Jesus, to crucify my flesh and to walk in the Spirit so that your will be done through me. Amen.

I have decided to focus my study on who I am in Christ and my true identity as a believer for the next 1-2 months. There are several good references. I just finished watching a 3 part series by Kenneth Hagin entitled "Authority of the Believer" on YouTube. In addition, there are two books I'm ordering:
1) "Believers Authority" by Kenneth E. Hagin
2)"Authority of the Believer" by John A. Macmillen
