It's ALMOST here! Only 2 weeks away until the kick-off of our summer kids program - BUGS!!!!!!! 5 Wednesdays starting June 3rd full of EXCITING games, crafts, skits....Kid's Worship AND the most important - the Word of God! We will be learning how the Shepherd's Hand... in our lives - guides us, protects us and makes us WHOLE!
Kids Leaving 6th Grade and below are invited to join us. (4 and under must be accompanied by adult). Join us out on the playground for summer with the SON! (Inside if raining!) Please pre-register at the following:

CHOICES
Joshua 24:15: "...choose this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord".
When I was a kid growing up, from about age 2 to 10, we went to Lake Erie every summer with our cousins. One of things I remember my Dad showing me is how to skip rocks across the water. It became an everyday thing and we even made it competitive between cousins. Who could skip the rock the longest and how many ripples would last the longest? When I think about that in spiritual terms, I think about the ripple effects from my choices. Every choice we make creates a ripple effect on our lives and on the lives of others. The choices we have made throughout life determine where we are and what we are becoming. Choices also tell us a lot about who we are; what we desire, and who we are serving.
Joshua is encouraging the people of Israel to make a good choice: fear God and serve God. During that time, the people of Israel were serving false God's. We have our own modern false God's. Anything that we choose to put before spiritual devotion to the Lord can become a God. Our false God's centers on self-gratification, materialism, and digital distraction.

This may be a good time to evaluate your choices.
Our lives are made by the choices we make, so let’s make excellent ones and watch the ripple effect of blessing.

IN HIS TIME
"Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and shield." Psalm 33:20

Our cell phone vibrates or rings while we are driving our car, and in our impatience to know what the call or text contains, we take our eyes off the road so that we can know immediately who is contacting us. This scenario ends in tragedy for hundreds of people each year who die trying to know NOW, rather than waiting until later to check their phone. This reflects our age. Our attention spans are short, and we want things in a hurry. Our watch words are " now, instant, quick, fast, and rush." The Lord doesn't work that way. To Him, a thousand years are like a day, and a day is like a thousand years. He's in no hurry; He dwells in eternity. He knows our needs, and He works in His timing to do what's best. He waited four hundred years after the Old Testament to send the Messiah. Jesus waited till the fourth watch to rescue His disciples on the Sea of Galilee. (Matthew 14:25) The Bible tells us to wait on the Lord. Once we've done our best, we have to leave things in His hands and give Him time to work. Don't think God is inactive. In our waiting, He is working. He will work all for good.....in His time. ( Dr. David Jeremiah)

This Sunday is Easter and Family Worship! It's going to be full morning of praising our Risen Savior, testimonies, and a message from Pastor Jay. We hope you can join us at 9:15 for fellowship, donuts and coffee, and then Easter Service at 10!
