Come celebrate freedom today!!
"Juneteenth marks both the long, hard night of slavery and subjugation, and a promise of a brighter morning to come. This is a day of profound—in my view—profound weight and profound power. A day in which we remember the moral stain, the terrible toll that slavery took on the country and continues to take." - President Biden as Juneteenth became a national holiday in 2021.
The Group for Racial and Religious Healing invites you to celebrate Juneteenth at the Third Annual JUNETEENTH PICNIC - Saturday, June 20th, beginning at noon at Veterans Park, Hornell.
Bring a dish to share - we'll have hot dogs grilling (for a $1 donation), Karaoke starts at 1pm. (E-mail the group at with your song preferences for the Karaoke library).
Join in celebrating the freedoms we have and the freedoms we seek!
