Christ Be My Light! Allow the Lord to Energize you!

Our Lady of the Valley Parish Mission
Monday, December 4th to Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 7PM in St. Ann’s Church

Hosted by Redemptorist Missionary Father, Charles Coury, C.SS.R.

Over the course of three evenings we will join Fr. Coury in prayer, scripture, song as he presents spiritual insights that allow Christ’s light from within us to energize our spirit.

12/4, Monday –
Theme: Our Blessed Mother as you have never heard before! Please bring a symbol of your devotion to the Mother of Christ (Rosary, statute, painting, medal, etc) to be placed on the altar and blessed with special Sacred Relics and Holy Water.

12/5, Tuesday
Theme: Conversion. Please bring pictures of family members and loved ones to be placed before the altar. The opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation will also be offered.

12/6, Wednesday
Theme: The Power of the Cross and the Healing that Pours Forth from It. Opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Anointing for all. We will joyfully conclude with lit candles, singing and celebrating Christ, Our Light, with a Solemn Blessing.

ALL ARE INVITED AND MOST WELCOME!!! A free-will offering will be taken each night

First Penance/First Holy Communion Kickoff Meeting for the 2017-2018 year

First Penance/First Holy Communion 2017-2018 program – Parent information and registration meeting for both St Mary and St Ann’s churches on Monday, October 16th 6:30-7:30PM at St. Ann’s Church in Hornell. The program is open to children 7 years old and older who have been baptized in the Catholic Church. Children participating in this program are also expected to be enrolled and attend OLV’s religious education program or attend a Catholic School. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (First Penance) will be administered in December 2017 followed by First Holy Communion in the springtime of 2018. A parent meeting will be held in January to discuss First Holy Communion.

Registration forms are available at the entrances of both churches and will also be available at the meeting. For more information or if you have questions or concerns, please contact the parish office.
