Sunday’s Altar flowers were dedicated to the Glory of God in memory of Johnny Medders, for his October 27 birthday, given by his daughter, Carol Medders.

The rosebud placed on the altar is in honor of the birth of Walter Matthew Tucker to parents Gabe and Hannah Tucker.

Come to the pancake breakfast, turn in a pledge card, and join us for Commitment Sunday! It's the time to affirm the work of the church and our role in it as we worship God and observe the climax of our Dreamers stewardship campaign. Pledging a tithe for the coming year helps us know what our budget will look like so we can steward the resources of the church in a responsible way. If you're not able to make it today to turn in a paper pledge card, please go to our website bluffparkumc.org, click on the Give tab, and make a pledge to the 2027 budget! This church cannot run without the support of its members... we thank you so much and are very grateful for the spiritual practice of sacrificial giving back to God, who is the source of all our resources!

We at BPUMC exist to worship the living God and make disciples of Christ in our journey toward wholeness and salvation. Won't you join us? And hey, if you're in the Birmingham area why not stop on by? We'd love to walk toward God with you!

Are you curious about God? Do you feel a tug in your heart which pulls you toward goodness, love, and meaning? Maybe you're excited to take the next step in your faith? Reach out to one of our ministers to talk about what God has in store for you. Click Here to reach out! https://bluffparkumc.org/contact-us/ : )

Dan Cater is the New Gathering Worship Leader!

We are delighted to share with you that Dan Cater has accepted our offer to be our next Director of Modern Worship and will begin on Monday, November 9th. His first Sunday with us in The Gathering will be November 15th. Dan will be joined by his wife Laura and their three children- Thatch (10), Finn (7), and Cohen (6). I know that you will join me in giving the Cater family a warm welcome to our church!

Dan actually grew up here at Bluff Park UMC before heading off to Auburn to pursue a degree in Vocal Music Education. For the last 15 years, he has worked at Simmons Middle School as the Choir Director, and since 2014 he has served at St. Mark UMC in various roles, including Youth Choir Director, Youth Praise Band Director, and Director of Modern Worship. Dan has many gifts for music ministry, and I could not be more excited for him to begin his ministry with us here at Bluff Park. If you see Dan around town, please join me in welcoming him back to our church, and mark your calendars for November 15th!

Well Done, Davis Haines!

After five years of faithful leadership, Davis Haines has informed us that he plans to step down as Director of Modern Worship effective November 9th. That means his last Sunday will be November 8th. If you have been a part of The Gathering or joined us for any of our Discovery Weekend combined worship services over the last five years, then you know what a gift it has been for us to have Davis on our team. The Gathering wouldn't be where it is today without his ministry and impact, and I know you share my gratitude for his willingness to share his gifts with us. As you see him over the next few weeks, I hope you take time to thank him for his impact here and wish him well as he takes his next steps.
