Outdoor Serve Day Saturday Sept. 12!!

Volunteers are wanted to help beautify the landscaping of our church. Come and go – work 1 hour or more! Pruning, mulching, pine straw, weeding, and other tasks will be done with fun and fellowship! Gloves provided; bring water bottle for refills; light snacks and tools if you have them.

Saturday, September 12th from 8 AM to Noon. Playground side check in and projects listed.

Bargains on the Bluff Volunteers Needed!!

Bargains on the Bluff has been supporting BPUMC Kids and Little Imaginations preschool for over 20 years! Proceeds from the sale built our playground and outdoor classroom, made improvements to the preschool and children’s halls, and enables us to host hundreds of children from our church and community for VBS each summer.

We need your help! Our sale is run 100% by volunteers and we have jobs for everyone! We start Monday, September 14th and run through Sunday, September 20th. We need folks to help receive merchandise, organize it, sell it, and help us clean up. We have sit down jobs and jobs that keep you moving! Just let us know when you would like to work! As a bonus, if you volunteer you get to shop the sale early!

Jesus and the Founding Fathers

Have you ever wondered what Jesus' impact was on the people who formed our country? Some people say is was everything, some people say it was nothing, but what's true? Join Rev. Stuart Parker, Dr. Debra McCallum, and Dr. Jim Slack for a fascinating look at how Jesus and Christianity actually influenced the Founding Fathers and those who influenced
them. Was it a large influence? Were they all deists with little influence?

Parenting is one of life’s greatest joys and one of its biggest challenges. Many parents today are helping their children navigate stress, anxiety, big emotions, social pressures, packed schedules, and a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. in the Chapel, BPUMC will welcome Rev. Monica Harbarger, Executive Director of United Counseling, for a special evening for parents and caregivers. Optional Tre Luna Dinner before at 5:45pm!

Rev. Monica will share practical insights and encouragement around children’s mental health, anxiety, emotional well-being, and ways parents can help their kids build resilience. Together, we’ll explore some of the challenges families are facing today and talk about meaningful ways to support children as they grow.

Whether your child struggles with anxiety, feels overwhelmed, is highly sensitive, faces social challenges, or is simply growing up in a complicated world, this evening will offer helpful tools, fresh perspective, and encouragement.

We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation as we learn together how to support our children with compassion, patience, and hope.

Bible Study on Good and Evil

Where is God when terrorists attack strikes or when massive tsunamis sweep away thousands of people? When disasters happen, we sometimes wonder if God really cares. Where does evil come from and how do we overcome its powerful drag on our lives? Though we'll never have all the answers, join us for a study that seeks to help you trust God and his sovereign power even in the darkest days of pain and suffering. Journeying together is often the best way to learn, grow, and help one another on the path to God. All are welcome!

Starts September 16th at 6:00pm in the Library (second floor, around the corner from the narthex).
